Pooks get her to have a look at Christianity, then maybe Hinduism/Buddhism and then her own opinion. Then tell her teacher where to go.

Went to Hobbycraft and got the stuff to knit me a jumper. Cost a ton but it'll be worth it!

Nexttime you are looking for patterns/stitch guides try looking on the net. There's loads of free stuff available. Was going to post when I saw yours earlier but you'd already gone:rolleyes:

    Afternoon all :)

Just caught up with today's part of the thread. My goodness - what a lot of deep philosophical posts there are. My daughter is studying Theology and Philosophy and Uni so I guess she must have come across essay titles like that Pooky. Does seem a bit deep for a 14 year old though.

How is she doing with it?

Luc, I will do next time, I wanted to get the stuff and do it first before committing loads of stuff over the net. And claire, if this one works out OK, then I can always knit more. Not quite an aran, but nice chunky wool. The pattern number is Sirdar 9055 if you can find it and like it.

I knit by hand, my mum taught me, but as she knits left handed, I knit right handed!

Thanks for the advice on the RE - she's finished it - she's talked herself round in a circle but there's some sound comments in there. Hard to get across what you mean/believe and others points of view in only 500 words.

I don't understand why RE has to be a compulsary subject at GCSE level now.

From what I've seen of the text book it's very much a case of "what you read here is fact, it's up to you to prove it wrong" which instantly puts you on the wrong footing if you have a differing point of view.

Spud - Silly question really considering you're asing for resignation letters but....are you resigning?
