Hi there
Hope you hear soon, think they would take about 14 working days, something like that, but chase them up on this if you have not received anything soon, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi there and not a problem.;)
Mine have been successful on a 2001 reclaim, although through the FOS, but many on here have been successful from even earlier years, although it does help if you still have the paperwork, such as the account number is at least one of them and if you have more details, the better to help support your case.
I would give it a go anyway, you will never know otherwise, and let us know what they say, we can take it from there then to see if there is anything else we can do, such as if they refuse to deal with the matter.
Hope this helps. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

HI Di
I dont have the paperwork going back to 1992. But my account is still active with Next and so it is the same account number that i have always had. it has been 2 weeks now since i sent my letter to next asking them for there Insurers details so that i can take the matter up with them and i havent heard a thing. With my first 2 letters they came back within days.
I will let you know how i get on. thanks again. I feel really strongley about getting this money back off them, the more i think about it the more i think i have been misold. I have been paying this for 18 years thinking that i had to! At least they admitted that i had to take it out when i opened the account. However i do not recall any letters asking me if i wanted to opt out as i probably would have done! thanks again0 -

I've been reading your post and i'm going to check if Next have also been charging me, I've had a store card with them for at least 6 years! PLease can you tell me who you wrote your initial letter to? Also, did you already have your statements or did you have to request them, and did they charge you for this service?
I've been successful claiming from the banks so this is definitely worth a go!
thanks in advance for you help and good luck!:o0 -
Hi Makela2009
I dont have statements going far back, But i have had an account with Next since 1999 . I have always paid PPI on my account because when i took out the card with next the salesperson told me that i had to have PPI. So i have been paying PPI for 18yrs. It clearly shows the PPI charge on every statement and they say that i have always had a chance to opt out of paying it, i dont have PPI with anything else so i just presumed that i had to pay it!. They said that in around 1995 / 96 i was given the option to come out of paying this, but i certainly dont remember that & it is very likely that given the option that i would have done this! i just wrote to Next Customer services and i got a reply back within days saying that it was sold to me with my best interest. I then wrote back asking for there insurers details so that i can take it up with them - i havent heard anything yet!!! good luck0 -

Hi there
Thanks for the update.
Give them a quick ring when you can, chase them up for the details, tell them you are entitled to have these, did you post by recorded delivery?
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Di
Just called next and they said they sent letter however they gave me details over the phone of the insurers. Have you heard of First Assist Insurance?
so do i explain that i have had PPI with Next , not sure what to put as it was next that sold it to me not first assist insurance. Sorry i am rubbish at stuff like this0 -
Hi
there are standard templates on the site that you can tailor to suit your case, I would definately claim it back. Next should help you with the initial enquiries as even though they didnt adminster the insurance it was sold to you in their store with their product0
