Hi PA just read your diary, wow what an amazing start youv'e done really well. Im around the same age (Ithink) with 3 children all still at school and want to be rid of the debt before Im 50. We'll still have the mortgage but hopefully will be in a position to overpay. Although if DH has his way we'll have sold the house and be building our own, so may have to rent for a while, but if we make enough money hopefully we'll need a v small mortgage so its all positive.

I'll pop back and see you soon. Well done on the obsessive debtbusting, were all the same;)

Wow - building your own home...that is something my DH would love to do (but although I like the idea of a home exactly as I want it, I am not so keen on all the hard work in getting it built:rotfl:)

Thanks for popping in and reading my diary - I find it really helps keep me motivated and busting those debts:T

  • Debt diary day 25

Had a good day yesterday. Went off and picked up my ebay purchases. The house we picked them up from was for sale and was stunning.....so doing my little dolly day dream ;) I logged on and looked it up - £1.25 million is the asking price....so when I have cleared a few more debts ....just maybe I will...........NOT buy it:rotfl: Imagine the interest on a mortgage for that:eek:

Talking of dolly day dreaming, I do an awful lot of that lately - about the future, about life as a debt free person, even life as a debt free AND mortgage free person. How sad is that....just 25 days into a journey of about 1000 days and I just keep dreaming of how good it is going to be:rotfl: That is also the reason I am typing this diary note at 1.51am:eek: - I can't sleep, my mind is racing with positive thoughts and I couldn't lay in bed any longer. I need to sort myself out:rotfl:

We did really well with the ebay stuff though - absolute bargains (and I spent less than £50 and it was all from our planned budgets for maintenance/repair - ok so maybe the items are secondhand, but they are very expensive items that cost me about 10% of the new price. I used MSE local bargain finding tool - for items that are collection only and am really, really pleased with myself. Having said that - I still haven't sorted my ebay listings out:eek::(

No movement on the debt busting front for a couple of days - and there won't be until the end of the this week (maybe a couple of odd bits and pieces because I am going to try and make a payment a day - even if it's only £1 :))

The diet is .....well it just IS;) Why is it that when you are on a diet you constantly think of food - more than you ever normally do:EasterBun
Yep - that little smilely is me praying that I can withstand a piece of chocolate and failing miserably:rotfl: Still it was only one little strip from a galaxy bar that my DS walked in with this afternoon:o I lost 1lb this week - it was sooooo hard because I am convinced I was sooooo good last week and was sure that I would lose masses. Still, better 1lb off than on I guess:) As my mum always used to say - be grateful for small mercies:)

A shiny new week is here and I am determined to be positive about debt busting and dieting....I just wish I was as motivated to diet as I am to debt bust:(

  • PA, you are doing sooo well. Don't worry about the diet too much, one step at a time - mind you, think about how much money you'd earn from ebay if you lost so much weight your clothes didn't fit!! :rotfl:Maybe that's the motivation you need - turn it into a money maker! :)

On a more serious note - thank you for your support on my thread, you will never know how much those kind words meant to me:A

That dream will keep you going.
It must have been the weekend of looking at that type of house. We went to carnforth on Saturday and Dh got a paper from an estate agents while we were there. In it was a beautiful house complete with 2 acres of land and an indoor swimming pool so I said we'll have that one. It was......................four million pounds:eek:.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Well done PA, glad to see you are still going stong. Fab diary.

Yep I know the feeling about the weight thingy. Got my weigh in tomorrow. Fully expect to put weight on after the last two weeks of eating etc. Regret it now ! :o:o

    Debt Diary day 26

    Hi Yummymommy

thanks for dropping in to my diary.

I have had a 'flat' day today. Don't know why, just felt a bit down and demotivated. I suppose that's bound to happen occasionally:(

Still, another day is nearly here and I am determined to wake up tomorrow and smile :D I know the debts are going to disappear and I am just going to keep thinking I must be more positive.:T
