Touchscreen phones with widgets?

My LG cookie is playing up.

Think I need to start thinking about my next phone.

Love the whole large touch screen.

Only want it for calls & the odd texts really.

My LG has widgets (this is what my DD calls them).

I can put frequently dailed people on the home screen & touch it once & options come up (call, text, edit, delete), touch whichever function you want & bang you are there:D

Do any other phones with large screens work in a similar way? I know the Viewty doesn't.

I've got the Tocco Lite and that has good widgets - the screen is a good size as well. I love it :)

If I wanted a normal phone I wouldn't have asked for advice on a touch screen with widgets.
I had enough "normal" phones so far to know what I prefer.

Seems to be heavily based towards texting?

I would never bother with the slide out keyboard (I only send the odd taxt), do you have to use that or is it optional?

An iphone is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond you ;)(they have apps, not widgets)

You're better off keeping it simple ;)

Can't believe that no one has mentioned the HTC Hero. OP, check this phone out. Infact, just search for Android - there's a bit of a selection of them now.

HTC Touch I think is the model below (Not definitely sure) but CPW have that for £250 AND they do trade-ins for your old phone.
    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.
