Ah thanks.
Ive looked and the rate for the time i claimed was £360 per week.
However its now only £355 per week.
(Ive just looked at bank account and ive still been getting the £360 rate)
But so when its the 12months anniversary of my claim will they try 'backdating it', and so giving me a huge bill of £5 x those 52 weeks??:huh:
I do not think they will do this, hopefully an HB expert can confirm this.0 -
No the change is not backdated.
In simple terms, when you make a claim, you get the LHA rate that was in force in the month that you claim. That rate stays in payment until your anniversary date (52 weeks later) and at that time, you get the LHA rate that applies in that month which may be higher or lower.I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
