With a new one its not easy, i remember being a zombie for the first few months!!. Just call the council & for a small fee they should take it all, otherwise hire a small skip which they can take back as soon as you have loaded it/drive to the local dump. Personally, i would call the council! HTH :), btw congratulations on the arrival of your little one, take no notice of some of the grumps here, bet they are all blokes!;)
No one said it was gonna be easy!

Its pretty grim the thought of 4 week old nappies/cat litter / food going in my car.
Maybe but its got to be done before it becomes 5 and then 6 weeks. It truly is the simplest solution and you can protect the car interior easily. Do it in 2 or three trips if its too much for one. Why can't hubby do it?
......... but recently moved and baby arrived recently too.
    Many congrats.

    Cheers

Can't agree with you there ormus.. I would not say this thread is necessarily a stupid question but the answer is obvious, but the op does not want to see it. I live in the Fareham Council area and there are two well run amenity tips within a ten minute drive of the town centre. Probably cheaper to buy a tarpaulin to put in the car than pay someone else to do the dirty work.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Wait until it's dark when everyone has there bins out and go and top up everyone else's bins until it's all gone, job done.

my baby is 5 months old and we have never had too much junk for the bin even with the extra I generate doing bits of DIY
Nothing to see here, move along.

I suppose it also depends on the size of bin you have. Ours is huge, so takes ages to fill.

Better than having rats running around the garden and then coming in the house.

You're not going to be driving around all day with them. Can't really see the problem.

Our collection came this week and took the bin and all extras (been 6 weeks here since last collection).
You should have a collection soon from the council ring up and find out x

Ring the council (or go on their website), if they have been missing collections due to the weather I am sure they have solutions in place for everyones additional rubbish.

Additionally on a normal collection (every 2 weeks) we fill our bin (although we usually have 3 or 4 recycling boxes out every week too) & our top tip is we stand on our low wall with the bin next to us & squash it down with an old chopping board (used just for this!) we usually manage to fit in an extra bag that way. Also don't use huge bags as this ends up with lots of empty space in the bins.

  • HI,

My local council offers a bulky waste collection, which is chargable depending on the amount, check your coucnils website or give them a call, I also live in an area where there are Wheelies bins and you cannot put put extra waste,
