How can I get rid of my build up of rubbish bags?

washable nappies would help solve the problem happening again. But seriously 15 bags? I recycle, used washables, compost and with 4 of us will still rarely fill the bin. We had to ask the council for a second recycling bin and got it for free but if we'd wanted a second black bin it would have been £80 - worth askingPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Is there anyway you can cut down on the amount of rubbish you produce?
We're a family of 5 with the little one in nappies, but we rarely fill our black bin. We've had suspended collections due to the snow and it was full after three weeks, but that included a black bag of rubbish where I'd decluttered a room. Here I go again on my own....0 -
do what the rest of the world does..
put seats down in car
put blanket/sheet down
put rubbish in car
drive to local tip
problem gone..
did it really need a post on a forum asking a basic question?
failing that if you have elderly neighbours (who probably dont produce much waste) ask if you can put stuff in the bins they have and offer to take them out/in again.0 -
After Christmas we took one bag of rubbish to the tip so that we would have enough room in the bin till it was collected. If you deal with the problem as it arises then taking it in your car will be no problem.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Crikey, if it's that much of a problem, take them in the car!!
We still have Christmas dinner leftovers in the bottom of our bin as the binmen haven't been because of the weather!
Our car is knackered so it can't be driven and OH can't take the extra bags in his works van as you need a permit.
Ours are a pain, but I wouldn't hesitate to chuck them in the car and take them to the tip. Double bag them and put something down underneath where they will go.
If they smell, then open the car windows, it won't take you that long will it?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

eek okay sorry really didn't expect some of these replies - thought that maybe picking some MSE'rs brains they might be able to help.
We have had no bin collection since before xmas so have the build up of weeks of rubbish and we also have a newborn baby so life has been a bit manic.
Feel really sad about some of the unhelpful replies - but a massive Thank You to some of the more useful ones.:heart2:Mum to my little Daisy 3 and Archie 1.:heart2:0 -
