Nappies at Costco !

Hello all

A friend of mine who is a member of costco said he would take me over soon to get nappies , our little one is currently on size 3 and shortly to go onto size 4`s , anyone any idea how much they are at Costco and what the quality is like ? is it worth the bulk buying ?

Cheers

No idea on price, but you will save money due to the bulk amount, and the quality will be the same as the brands usually are, they are exactly the same packs of Huggies, Pampers etc but in larger amounts. Just remember not to buy too many in one size as your baby will soon outgrow them and you'll be left with lots of size 4's!

Sainsburys have 1/3 off baby at the moment so you may find that you get a better deal from the supermarket !!

costco have a promotion coming up (18.01.10 - 07.02.10)- the Huggies Giga packs (size 4 from memory have something like 154 nappies) - buy two get £14 off. I can't recall the normal price for them though but it usually works out a reasonable price from memory :)
If anyone is near a Costco maybe they could share the price with us all :)

Thanks all , have bookmarked the thread !!
  • Hi i get nappies from costco an It saves a fortune! My LO is in size 4+ and its £15 for 156 Huggies, they last all month. I also get huggies wipes from there as I like them better than any others and thats 6 packs for around £5 when you add the VAT. I wasnt aware of the offer off buy two get £14 off though, I think every Costco does different offers cos my voucher booklet doesnt include that so it will depend which one you go to. I cant rate Costco enough really, especially for baby stuff, even things like toys on the run up to Christmas are miles cheaper than toys r us e.c.t.

Nat you might be right - the offer booklet only came out today but I guess the offers could vary :) If it does then the £14 off is for the Milton Keynes store :)
I stocked up last time but could do with some more 4 and 4+ now :) might also get a couple of size 5s and hide them in the loft where hubby cant see them :rotfl:

without the discount then the nappies work out at just over 9p each (0.096 for those wondering) - with the special offer if you are near one that is running the £14 off discount then they're 5p per nappy. Boots are running a promotion on nappies too - Huggies work out at 18p per nappy. I haven't done the comparison on pampers and other brands as I'm happy with Huggies but you can easily do it - just take the price and divide it by the number of nappies - that will give you an idea of value to compare with :)
