Thanks confused, he is on the phone now to them, and being quite cross!! but more polite than I would be!!
They have given him the address and fax no to fax a copy to Barclays Partner Finance directly, so I will have to go to the library and fax it to them, at the cost of a whole pound!!0

Doucam i hope that sorts it out once and for all for you! it'll be worth the £1 if it gets them off your back!0

He is on the phone now to the OR's office to see what they have to say, Mercers are saying that Barclays are saying to chase as they have never received anything from the OR, which is odd as everyone else has!!
I know what you mean dojo, but it's just the fact that it's just them that's getting to me.0

Dojo, I had real problems with BoS, they were calling me as much as 8 times a day 8am to 8pm, my youngest was in hospital and they wouldn't stop.
I even send to one of the people that I was cracking up and suicidal, which I was, that didn't stop them.
Hubby's uncle leant us the money in the end to pay them back as he could see how it was affecting my health.
I just don't know how these people sleep at night.0

So, they had the fax, and agreed they had the fax and it all stopped for 6 weeks, and then today they started calling again, saying that they didn't know that dh was BR.
They are calling my mobile no, so I asked the chap to remove it as I don't like them calling my mobile and then refusing to speak to me as it's not my debt, he basically told me no, they will continue to chase on this no for as long as they like, and that is that. Said I needed to fax Grant Thornton, which we have, and Barclays, but they just won't stop
I rang the OR's office, and spoke to a lovely lady there who is going to call them immediately and get them to cease.
Thing I don't understand is that they know we are BR, and that we won't be paying, so why did they leave it and start up again? The OR lady says it is because they hope that people will give in and pay them to get them off their backs.
The silly thing about this is that it has really upset me, I think because I thought it had all stopped, and then this, I have to admit I called the chap some pretty unpleasant names. And wish I hadn't stooped to their very low level 0 0

Doucam it is understandable that you get like this and you have to resort to their level! I am so sorry you are having these problems, at the end of the day what can they really do...???? I don't also understand (and I am sure somone will tell me why) why the onus is on you to prove to them that you are BR?

Is this not against the law? What do the Financial Services Ombudsman have to say about this behaviour - it's definitely against their guidelines. I'd love to see these scumbags getting fined for their actions!0

Can I suggest you go to this thread.
I have put a template letter on it which will make them take notice and hopefully compensate you for the trouble they have caused you.
If they don't, you can take them to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
