Hi Beccy
Mine had a leaflet with the monthly statement which was how I applied for my card, when it didnt arrive, they just said they would send me a new one which did arrive! No questions asked whatsoever!
Thank you
I might pluck up the courage to phone them over the weekend and ask
Did you return the credit agreement to them when you opened your account? I don't think I did - will have to check - I wonder if that will make a difference?
Mind you, with their up and down credit limit, I'd be wary of using their card to purchase in a Next store in case they've suddenly taken my credit limit away again and I have to put the clothes back :rotfl:0 -
I thought it must be me when my limit when up and down every month! Haven't used my account in about a year now and have a credit limit of £3000 which has stayed pretty steady although went down to £2500 and then up again for no obvious reasons. Have only kept it so if I fancy anything I can pay it in full when I buy it but I don't rate their stuff like I used to so haven't bought from them.TRYING VERY HARD TO START SAVING!

No agreement was needed, they just sent the card! Make sure you activate it first though!

Are these monthly searches registered on youir credit file? i.e. do they leave a footprint?or is it just a soft search?
If so can they damage your file?

I had a next account with a limit of 3,600. Always paid on time and had been a customer for over 4 years. I place an online order which was accepted and then a few days later it was cancelled as Next had decided that 'they did not want to attract me as a customer'. My account was closed and showed as settled on my credit report. In fact at the time I was in credit ( which was never sent to me ). Two years later and I have received a new card out of the blue with a limit of 3,600. Do wish they would make up their minds!!!:rotfl:0

Well, I did magange to pluck up the courage and phone Next to ask for an account card - the very nice lady said no problem and put it through for me. No questions asked apart from the obvious to verify my id and the card should be with me in 1-2 weeks

Next have messed about with my credit limit again. It hasn't stayed the same from one month to the next. I've had the account since May 2009.
It's curently £500, it was £600 last month! Before that it was £200. They're totally weird. IMO.0
