Waves to all,
Have a next online account, opened March 2009.
Credit limit £300, after month put down to £250, October up to £700 and just received statement for next month and have put it down to £300 !!!
Have always paid on time but this month only paid just over min payment, because its January, normally pay a lot more.
Have now a balance of £500, credit limit £300 and zero credit available:eek:
Phoned customer services and was told they review credit limit every month.
Can anybody help or have had the same situation ??
Many Thanks

This is very common with Next. They review limits every month and they can change a lot. This has annoyed me so much I paid my account off in full and it is sitting at a £0 balance. I refuse to allow someone to charge me interest when I canno use the account.0

Thanks for the reply, has also but me off Next.
I feel if i have done something wrong.0 -
No you haven't. They do it with a lot of their customers. Mine did stabalise for a good while at £1500 before going down again. Before I paid the balance off they cut the limit to 40p above my balance. When I paid an amount off they lowered the limit again. Really !!!!ed me off.0

Yeah, same thing has happened to me this month too. Going to try and get it all paid off as a priority.0

the same thing happened to my wife £500 down to £00

Mine went up from £150 to £300 early last year, then a couple of months before Christmas it was put down to £0. I've just checked this months statement and it's gone up to £2000   :huh:0

I have just gone down to £0 today. It doesn't particularly bother me as I rarely use it but there is a £40 balance sitting on it so I don't want to get charged anything for going over limit. Is this likely to happen?0

No, there are no over limit charges0

I thought it was just me that they'd done this to. £250 limit, logged on one day and it went down to zero, phoned them and they said they'd reviewed it, but they'd put it back to £125, which they applied to the account immediately. The next day, it was back down to £0 ! I logged off and haven't used them since.
Whilst I was allowed to use the account, I bought 2 items and paid for them. Now that they've done this to me I won't be using them again. I wonder how they actually make any money?!0 -
I had this happen to me around 18 months ago. Went from £3600 to £2400 for no reason. Then two months later went back up to £3600 and it's been there ever since.
I thought they'd stopped bouncing the limits like a yo-yo. Looks like they've started again.0
