Yes me too, only been with Next for 6 month's it started at £300 then on the third month it went up to £900 then back down to £300. This month its up to £600
Should be called the YoYo account! I rang their credit control dept and she said not to worry, they get feed every month from Equifax and they base it on that. Still odd though,I'll see how it goes with them. 0 -
Thanks for all the replies, funny thing is they sent me a next card today !!0

I can beat that! My limit was £3600, never missed a payment and owed £140. My available credit then went down to £0 for 6 months! My available credit then came back in November at £1500!! Strange or what??!!0

Hi everyone!
well I am really @@!!*d off with Next and sick of the Yo-Yo credit limit! I have been a Next Directory customer for nearly 10 years and never ever missed a payment or paid late and over the last year my credit limit has been up and down between £1500 to £4000 now today I have received a letter from them saying they cannot process a recent order I sent (for £35) as they have reduced my limit to £0!!!!! The letter says they are being responsible lenders in the current economic climate and review all customer accounts each month and set a credit limit from info received from Equifax-I pay all my accounts on time and the only ones who increase and decrease limits regularly are Next. I even checked before I made my order online(two weeks ago) and my available credit showed £550.
I have emailed them and told them I will not be making any more orders and the new Next Directory they have sent me is going in the bin(unopened), I have also unsubscribed from their email newsletters-if they dont want my custom I dont want them sending me offers and VIP invites for the Next Sales anymore.
I will be thrilled if they go bust in the recession-they deserve to the way they treat loyal customers - I wont be shopping with them again.. at least hubby will be pleased :-) x x0 -
Me too, my limit at the highest was £2100, now down to £128 bcause my last statement balance was £127!
I rang and spoke to them about it and they update each month based on information taken from Equifax. My report is significantly better than when they offered me a £2k limit but now they see me as an even higher risk!
Strange!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -

Did you apply for the card or did they just send you it?0 -
Thank you - They haven't sent me one
I've had my account for nearly 12 months. I may phone them and ask - do they ask you many questions when you apply?
Hi Beccy
Mine had a leaflet with the monthly statement which was how I applied for my card, when it didnt arrive, they just said they would send me a new one which did arrive! No questions asked whatsoever!0
