There are some cards that will let your brother transfer cash into his bank account while it is still acting as balance transfer.... The fee for Super Balance Transfer (this is how it is cold in the world of geeks like me:-)) or Money transfer is usually higher then for standard BT and only people with very good credit score can get it... Ask your brother whether he knows anything about his credit score or what it means.... You don't want him to get marks on his credit report if he has no chance of getting it, do you? (that is not good)

I know - I was saying that you are going to earn £13k pa. That means that your disposable income isn't going to be THAT huge. Definitely not what you think it will be.

Can i ask why i wont have that as disposable income?
I have no bills apart from food, rent gas electric is paid for, insurance for the car will be paid for,

On £250 a week, a £100 to spend on food for 1 will leave me plenty of spare for emergencies while using the £150 to pay back the loan? :S

Real life never works like this. Suddenly car breakes, you loose your wallet, suddenly fall ill, get wrong tax code, loose your job, will have to leave family home... I can continue... Believe me, I am talking from life experience.

This might or might not happen.

In the eyes of the lender you are not a safe bet. Especially because you haven't got any history where you proved yourself.

£100 a week on food for 1 person? Is that serious?

sorry i meant £100 a week for food for 1 will leave me plenty to save for emergencies as well.

Im not going to spend a whole £100 on food for myself, though never done a shopping budget for a week for myself, i estimated around £40?

One more thing occured to me and I have no idea why it didn't come up earlier...

I take it you don't have the job yet?? I mean you are not doing it yet? Unless you had a job for at least 3 mths (but every company scores differently, some want you to have "stable" employment therefore they want 12mths at one place) noone will lend you any money anyway.

This might be why even your own bank rejected you. I am not sure from your posts whether you have full time job yet or not.

Murgy91, for six months and a couple of thousand you're into credit card territory. See this list of super balance transfer credit cards that let you pay balance transfer money directly into a current account. You should be on the electoral roll before applying or you'll probably be turned down. Read the minimum requirements for income that some of the cards give since you won't qualify for some of them.
