i booked up with them last year when a paper did a deal,
we booked up a 3 bedroom caravan , when haven sent us the details it was for a 2 bedroom, we phone haven who said that we would have to phone breefree, we phoned breakfree and the guy told us they had sold too many holidays and we would have to accept the 2 bed unit OR have out money back
the money never arrived, haven contacted us and asked us to pay the other fee's, we explained what was happening, the date passed for us to pay haven
after 7 phone calls and being promised to have the money refunded, AND contacting our credit card ( who wouldnt help ) , still nothing
a truely woefull company, i wouldnt trust them with a holiday booking for my worse enemy
Remember Breakfree use Paypal as an intermediary so you might have some recourse there.
How many people were in your party by the way ?0 -
Just received confirmation for my deal
4 nights in easter school hols total cost £133.80.
This includes linen (£14), gas/electric(£26) and passes.(£33.80)
So still not a bad deal.
(though i doubt we would use £26 worth of utilities in 4 nights)Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Got my confirmation today as well, prices about the same - so for Easter hols not a bad price at all.0 -
if you shop at tesco use your clubcard vouchers to buy your pleasure beach tickets. it works out way cheaper then!:jsweetheartlmg wrote: »Just booked May 28th for 3 nights/4 days at Cala Gran Haven in Fleetwood, perfect opportunity to visit Blackpool, been promising my girls to go back to Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower or maybe the Zoo if weather permits!
Cost £62 for a family of 4, there will be £45ish to pay towards services and passes (will take own bedding) total £107ish for a long weekend away with the family perfect :T0 -

The problem with using clubcard vouchers is that they are only eligable against the full brochure price.
I paid £130 for my break, the full brochure price was £433.
So at vouchers worth 4X i would still need £107 worth.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!

I think the tesco vouchers were meant for use at the pleasure beach.

We've been twice once to devon cliffs and once to Quay West. Both times we booked supreme plus. Both times our caravans were dirty and smelt of smoke, also things were broken (e.g shelves). But I know of other people that have been lucky and had great caravans. We would use haven again but we now take lots of cleaning products with us and are prepared to spend and hour of so cleaning the place firstHey everyone - Im looking at booking one of these holidays, but never done it before, is the accommodation clean etc? Just want to make sure before bookng. Thanks0 -
I got our confirmation today for Easter. Probably not taking the entertainment passes (not sure what they include? - is it just kids clubs & the pool?) or the linen.
So a grand total of £70 + £26 service charge =£96 for 4 nights at Easter for 2 adults + 2 children in a luxury plus van is a great deal I think. I might add on a Travelodge at £19 for the night before to make the 5 1/2 hour drive more manageable though.0 -

Also, is there a way to upgrade, or not ? Cheers
When i rung Golden sands Haven to ask about booking a cot they told me it was a Superior we'll be staying in

Good offer
you can only do it if you been to Haven before..... lots of times.
Bear in mind tho that security tends to be slack... and while you will always have to show passes, you can generally get away with flashing 2 when maybe you needed 4.
Great to see the usual level of honesty holding up from the great British public.
(yes that was sarcasm).0
