  • You may be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each week of very cold weather in your area if you get Pension Credit.
You may also be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment for each qualifying week if you are getting Income Support or income-based Jobseeker's Allowance and have a child under five or get one of the following:
    • a pensioner premium, higher pensioner premium or enhanced pensioner premium
    • a disability premium or severe disability premium
    • a disabled child premium
    • Child Tax Credit that includes an individual element for a child or qualifying young person who is disabled or severely disabled

I agree with Sunnyone, I have major hip/pelvis problems and had two huge surgeries in the last 2 years and am currently on NSAIDS, patches, paras and injections to get me to a level where I can at least work part time, There are much better drugs or combinations than Co Drydramol to help her have a better quality of life. PLus seeing the right consultant is so important too, some have no idea of the more complex surgeries that the big guns in London are doing.
i know this is going away from original post but so far partner has been to pain clinic had baths , etc then she had injections into spine she said never again as it never worked next appointment march so appart from co drydramol she will have to put up with pain till then, as for cwp she does qualify as she gets disability payment high rate for life

She will not receive the CWP as she does not receive a disability premium or other qualifying benefit. The disability payment you refer to is DLA and this does not qualify her.
