Hi newlywed,
There's an older thread with some ideas for using it up that might help so I'll add your thread to it to keep all the replies together.

Make i up and freeze it to make "ice cream" ?Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -
Thanks guys.
Actually talking of freezing it just reminded me of the "dougal cake" we used to have. Choc swiss roll cut in half long ways and laid on a plate/tray. Choc angel delight put all over it and fork lines put through - eyes added so it looks like dougal out of magic roundabout and then frozen.
Might try that one - next time we have a chocolate one.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I once made eclairs and used AD as a filling for them - think I made it up with a little less milk to make it thicker. They went down a treat.
I think it was an idea from a Woman's Weekly back in the 1980's.
Another time when I worked in a Residential Home for Older People, the Manager came up with an idea for a trifle.
Low-sugar Jelly with 'boudoir fingers'. Topped with low-sugar Angel Delight. Finished off with Elmlea Whipping Cream on top. It was decorated with crumbled Cadbury's flake. I think the idea was to make it as low-sugar and low-fat as possible so that any diabetics could have a small bowl as a treat on a Sunday tea-time.0 -
We're always eating this at work, but never leave it to set!

Milkshake
600-900mls (your pref) cold semi skimmed milk
put in liquidiser or bowl. Add sachet contents.
blend/whisk for about 30 seconds.

My girls made some today and they just made it as normal - they froze a lot quicker than normal ice lollies and tasted lovely apparently!
ETA - It says here to make it as normal"A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper
