Hi all

the other day I could have sworn someone was talking about recipes for angel delight.

NOw im thinking cheesecake style, I have the digestives, some ginger nnuts, angel delight, some evaporated milk

Will this work?? or will it be too thin?

Or any other recipes with the angel delight ( butterscotch flavour) would be fab!

Sounds like it would work to me - I made butterscotch AD the other day and it was fairly solid and moussy once it had set in bowls in the fridge.

Might join you on cheesecake today- I'm guessing the base is crushed digestives and melted butter? I've got some homegrown strawberries I could put on the top. I bet the whole thing would fall apart on serving though.

Use a little less milk than on the packet & it should be ok.

Try bananas on top - scrummy!

Well IM going to see if theres any way I can do them seperately so they dont colllapse - maybe there is

I think a bit of golden syrup in the base might make the whole thing a bit richer :D

Sorry to hijack your thread Lynz....

Does anyone know where to get black cherry angel delight from? My BF only likes that flavour and we can't find it anywhere!

    Ta!

Would like to find out the results of this one (including the quantities you used). I'm pregnant at the moment and so have to avoid various soft cheeses. But I love cheesecake. If it goes okay I might have a go myself.

I'm just going to make it up - there are only 2 of us, so it'll be AD made with one sachet and a bit less than 1/2 pint (dried reconstituted) milk. I don't have any digestives so I'm going to crush some fruit shortcakes, mix with some melted butter until it looks right, press it into a 7-inch pie tin, pour on the AD, add some sliced strawberries and set in the fridge. Butterscotch AD twice on one week - DH will think he's died and gone to heaven.

For the main course, I'm making a Greek lamb meatloaf called Kefta. Mix together minced lamb, chopped onion, fresh chopped coriander, parsley, allspice, butter and salt/pepper. Press into a pie dish or loaf tin, and arrange sliced tomato on the top. Cook at 175deg C for around 50 minutes until the middle is no longer pink, and serve with pitta bread and tzatziki (or mashed/saute/wedge potatoes).
