Mine was vandalised and the Police were extremely unhelpful cos they claim culprit wasnt caught red handed even though we all knew who was responsible.

been there done that brought the t-shirt

1st - bumped into the side of the car - mime was parked in row of cars - only one damaged - 1k repair job - under ins (have a strong gut feeling it was my ex-partner as the paint marks were red - his car was red

2nd - side window broke - 2 lads had a spree damaged 10 cars, - caugt by police. mine was taken into account as they admitted the others - no prosecution.... - insurance glass repair

3rd - my car again - had the side keyed - al in a matter of 2 mins - very suspicious as I had been outside photographing the car - been hit in Supermarket - (the other drive5r admitted liabilty (but my ins company said take photos) - during the timeof taking the photos person x + y, who were under an asbo for the harresment thay had done to me, and were awaiting a court date for breach of asbo with view to being jailed - the time it took me to come in and give keys to dad to park in garage - damage done

I do not drive a posh car - a mere 1994 Ford escort sapphire..... to think in 2005 I nearly brought a brand new car

The night after mine got amaged my fathers car got broke into and the 2 front seat belts slashed - he has a 1995 Astra......
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

My windscreen got broken on friday night, pair of neds smashed it with something, and broke my drivers door mirror, likely as they guessed I "grassed" up their mate to the cops for driving like a nutjob doing 50 to 60 mph in a busy 20mph single track residential area (single track due to cars parked down the entire length of one side of the street), which has loads of kids running around at all times of the day and night.
Thing is...I wasn't the only one who phoned the cops, guy got towed due to multiple previous complaints about his driving...sadly someone bailed his car out of the impound yard the next day...where he proceeded to race past the house with his mates and gesticulate at me, so i figured something was going to happen,
It really hacks me off as my wife has mobility difficulties and also the MOT is due in a week or so. What also ticks me off is it cost me £50 in excess charges and I have to wait till Wednesday to get it sorted.....plus now the wife wants to move as she doesnt feel safe living here anymore :(

Ford Fiesta - had just re-insured eight days earlier. Couple of lads ran over the roofs of several cars - crushing in my roof and damaging my bonnet.

£1,700 of damage went to the insurers. I even got charged a young persons excess as I was under 25 at the time and in bed asleep. Soon sorted the insurance company out over that and got even my excess refunded (firm, polite and wrote to managing director seems best way to deal with these things). Even got £60 off the following years renewal...

No one caught/charged etc. Was quite peeved - was just off on hols next day on a driving holiday and the sunroof didn't shut. Good thing it didn't rain in Wales! (must be a first...)

The only incident I can remember is having the radio aerial of my TR7 snapped off while parked overnight on the street in Cambridge in the early 80's.

I never replaced it, just stuck a coathanger in the remaining bit. It still worked.

I seem to remember it was quite a common type of vandalism back then and my solution was also quite common.

And hope you aren't suggesting you'd just be prepared to bend over and spread your cheeks while the police do nothing and vandals get away with it.

Not at all and I was delighted the police caught and prosecuted the guys that vandalised my car.

But I guess you are happy taking the law into your own hands;)

the drunk bloke down the road 'keyed' my car down one side the week before xmas, 2 witness statements were given, They arrested him as 430 and charged him at 1015, due to him being to drunk to talk too. Got a letter today saying they werent charging himas he claims to not remember anything.

So angry.... just want to punch his lights out now.....

So in our area, be drunk do vandalism and then deney knowing anything and you can get away with it. Doesnt it feel great to be british some days.

I picked up my new car and stopped off at the pub on the way home. Some pond life keyed it along both sides whilst it was parked.

I came back to mine a couple of years back to find some thoughtful local had tossed a metal pole at it :(

.....guess thats what I get for living in Croydon....

Fortunately they were quite a good shot and didn;t damage any of the bodywork or interior so all I needed was new glass :)

I'll confess to having let tyres down before.

We had a VW 4x4 who insisted in constantly parking in front of our driveway - nearly every day! We couldn't get in/out which caused some fun and games getting to work! Now, the drive was all drop kerbed and marked up etc. so they were in the wrong parking there.

Numerous notes on the windscreen and calls to the council went unheeded so then tyres got let down regularly (small stone in the dust cap, screw it on - instant slow puncture) Took about a fortnight for the guy to get the idea, but never had problems from them again.

Only ever did one call get heeded (this was a different car, which had all the windows closed and a dog overheating) it was removed within about 20 mins - I'd like to think it was because of the decidedly uncomfy looking dog!

I've had the usual key marks etc on the cars (what you get for living in an urban area I guess) and even had the wingmirror knocked off by passing vehicles, but the best (worst) thing was that every 2/3 evenings local kids would drag the back end of my car out into the road - I was woken up by the police quite a few times because of that!
Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male:
