Just in case anyone is still watching this thread because they haven't had their money yet. I still have not received my prize money from before Xmas. I have had a few different excuses from them as to why, all the excuses seem just that....excuses. I do not think they have any intention of paying, and even if they do they need a kick up the rear. So, I am now filing a complaint with the Institute of Sales and Promotions and suggest that anyone else waiting does the same. This is a clear breach of their terms and conditions and I have my serious doubts about Magic FM's honesty and integrity.

Can't believe you're still waiting gail. :eek: Bet you have a cheque within a week of the ISP contacting them though

Thanks NettyNora and Jacquie3167. I did a google search on MagicFM and it turns out that they didn't pay out over £100,000 last time they did the mystery voices competition either. (not to be confused with the Mystery mix up). Apparantly they found a discrepancy in the claim so they decided to carry it over to the next comp.... a few years later! This sounds very dodgy to me! They were hailed as being good for being vigilant and checking the validity of the winner, but I'm not so sure. My sister in law had to threaten them with the ISP too before she got paid, so it's not just me. She did get her cheque in the end though but it wasn't as much as mine. I am doing hte ISP complaint tomorrow after I've heard their latest feeble excuse. I will post again on here once I've got my cheque. Is anyone else still waiting?

My daughter won £30 just before Xmas and still hasn't had the cheque. I emailed them and they said there was a backlog and that they would get back to me. That was in January and I haven't heard anything since :(:(

I mentioned my brother got his cheque but it was the wrong first name, so i sent it back for him. I wrote on the cheque like they said & put his real name on it. They sent my brother a new cheque........... still addressed to Jeff :mad: :wall::wall::wall:

Seriously what is wrong with these people.

I honestly don't know. I am exasperated by this company, they seem to be completely useless. HOWEVER, I ended up telling them that I have my complaint to the ISP ready to go and they eventually sent me the cheque. It arrived Friday, and I have banked it same day, just keeping my fingers crossed that it has cleared. This was one of the most infuriating prizes to have to keep chasing! Good luck to anyone still waiting.
