I wouldnt say cruise control and reverse parking are an emergency. Just get the car without them. Cruise control can only really be used on motorways anyway, you shouldnt do your daily town driving with this on

Cruise control will be very handy for me as I cannot use my legs for driving and with the hand controls it will give me the chance to drive like everyone else, whenever I want :j:j:j

Reverse parking is to help me with my back condition - I can view the rear windows but it would make my back so much easier to cope with a device like this

I understand what you are saying but you cant use cruise control all the time anyway, and as soon as you need to brake or change gear cruise contol gets turned off. Its really only for on long stretches of road, not for popping down to the shop a few streets away.

Though if you are reversing you are suppose to look behind you at all times, if you rely on the parking sensors you may miss a child/adult crossing in your path.

What benefits are you claiming? As others have said you will not get a crisis loan.

There are thousands of us who use hand controls and can drive without cruise and parking censors, they are luxuries, you are getting a large charitable grant from motability to supply you with a suitable WAV and if you want luxuries Im afraid you will have to find the money yourself because it is not a crisis.

If you are going to be able to afford to pay for the petrol and the tax and the insurance when you eventually buy the car then you can easily afford to save up the few hundred pounds to pay for some extras.

I have cruise control and it is completely useless for driving in town. It is also difficult to use on the open road if there is a lot of closely running traffic. It really only comes into its own on lightly loaded motorways and dual carriageways.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
