BR is emergency tax. I'm still on that three months on due to old job not sending my P45. I think when you're temping, you fill in that form and then get a cheque.

ah... i think i know what it is.... the council extended my contract in dec to the end of jan, but the agency didn't get notified so processed a p45 for me....

a question for you accounty type of peeps - not sure if you can help though... :(

i'm working for a local council, through a temping agency. The temp agency pays me and i've noticed on my pay slips that my tax code is BR. This isn't a second income so shouldn't i be on on 647L tax code?

also, i've received a card from HMRC from customer ops, pay as you earn and self assessement - does this mean i need to fill in the form due at the end of jan?

what does the card say Scaredy....

I am like that with a size 10/12 a ten is just a tad too tight and a 12 is comfortable...

talking about weight again.....I weigh 9 stone 13 and am still classed as overweight! I am 5' 2" in fact I am the same height as Hannah Waterman:rotfl:- hope I don't look like her when I have lost weight.....
