Sammy - Make a white sauce with flour and butter and milk instead maybe?

Sally - Where was OH going? Is he ok?

DH's ESA payments have been agreed (phew!) but won't hit the bank in time to pay the bills..(bum) but at least I know it's coming.

Got a potato and spinach curry in the slow cooker smelling yummy and just about to find a small glass of wine.

Make a basic white sauce and add mushrooms and the chicken. Maybe slosh a little white wine in.

There's no real reciepe for my curry - it's just bung lots of onions into brown with curry powder and garlic and cumin and chilli and then add lots of small chopped potatoes, a few handfulls of frozen spinach and what ever other veg looks like it needs using (carrots and some mixed beans in this case) a tin of 4p curry sauce from Tesco, a pint of stock and leave in the slow cooker until cooked.

Smells yummy and is cheap and filling.

That sounds gorgeous Pooky! Near the end of cooking you could add some chunky fish or prawns!
