I moved all of mine into the Incentive Saver yesterday. Same rate but no need to move the money in and out each month. Faster payments out as well (unlike Santander e-saver it seems).

    Thanks.

I opened one yesterday also - I was told it was 3% on any amount upto £50k with no withdrawal penalty and interest paid monthly- is that your understanding?

I've just shifted the lot (retained 1 pound in each of my three Vantage accounts. No real reason, just in case I suppose) over to Santander/A&L.
Essentially 3% is as good as you're going to get at the moment, unless you want to tie things up and I can always shift it all out of A&L, if anything better comes along. Faster Payments worked as well....

Yes, that is also my understanding. I was going to move it to Santander had they not opened the Incentive Saver but they didnt put up any resistance.

Am glad I did as well as when I transfered the the small amount had in Santander back to Lloyds they did it via 3 day BACS rather than faster payments which is no good.

transferred my extra £2k from each one after 11pm on 26th june to hopefully maximise the old 4% rate??

i never got offered the incentive saver so my £12k has gone into the halifax saver reward @3%

It also says that "over £5,000 no interest is paid".

That`s not what I meant.. it says "Please note. We do not pay interest on amounts above £5,000"

I take that to mean they will pay 3% aer on amounts up to £5,000.. but if you have for example £5,150 in the account it just means only the £5,000 will gain interest but not the £150.

Previously if you had £7,150 in the account then they wouldn`t give you the 3% on any of it!!

That`s what I was hoping to clear up. No point ringing Lloyds cos all the staff I ever spoke to didn`t even know you could have more than 1 account.

So I asked the experts.. You lot !! :o

Previously, if you had £7,150 in the account you'd get 4% (not 3%) on everthing up to £7,000.

I`m sorry, but i`m sure the conditions were that if you went over your £7,000 by so much as £1 they wouldn`t pay the full 4% on any of your £7,000. They would just pay the very basic 1%
