msgnomey My husband tells me off when I call it a diet cause its not it's a way of life.

shelvis I know how you feel about motivation I was 15 st 7 lb when I started last March I did get down to 12st 3lb but back up to 13st3lb and I just can't seem to get back in to it. Things keep happening and I think I'll get back on it tomorrow but as they say tomorrow never comes.

Morning everyone, I'll catch up properly tonight and update first page for you all xx

I lost another 1lb last night - total now is 23.5lb. It's very slow going at the moment but I'm happy to lose keep losing, the 1lbs will soon add up ! I was hoping to get down to 13st by Easter but with another 8lb to go, I think it's a bit unrealistic.

I've also started running, I signed up for the Race For Life again so I've got something to motivate me. First time running yesterday and it wasn't too bad but I shall have to do a lot more work in order to be able to run the 5K. I can't believe I used to run 5K, 5 times a week this time 3 years ago. I've certainly let things slip and it's probably the reason my weight went back on so quickly.

Well done to everyone who's still losing and also to those still trying. Keep at it and you will lose. If you're struggling, try tracking everything and weighing to make sure you're 100% within your points, sometimes things slip a little and before we know it, we're eating way over our points without realising !

Right, housework beckons, catch up later xx
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j

Hi - I started the original Cambridge Thread and lost 4 stone ish on that diet! I have kept it off but can't afford to start it again and have lost my will power for it tbh.

I am going to try weight watchers but can't find a class near me that fits in with my home life and just checked out the website and the first month is £30 which I can't afford at the moment.

I need firstly how to work out my points.

I am 35, 5.8 and 13 stone - can anyone point me in the right direction, at least I can then start whilst waiting for payday to join online.

Any other tips and hints would be great!

    Thanks

    Lisa

    3pts for being female
4pts for age (but drops to 3 when it's your birthday)
13pts for your weight ( will go down by a pt when your under 13stone)
    2pts for height

then you decide which one of these is your day to day life and add pts together

Sitting down most of the time 0pts
Occasionally sitting, but mainly standing 2pts
Walking most of the time 4pts
Doing physically hard work most of the time 6pts
    Hope this helps
