You need to activate a broadband top up.
Its £2 a Meg otherwise.
Got to https://www.three.co.uk and my account - This is free from your dongle
Then add a broadband top up
£10 for 30 days 1 Gig
£15 for 30 days 3 Gig
This will solve your problem.0 -
Thanks webferret did this added £15 with a voucher that went through at alarming rate and had to add £10 on card that is going through fast as well plus original £10 from shop, not sure what i am doing wrong but i cant keep this up,still waiting for 3 to reply any more advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you0

https://www.three.co.uk is free from your dongle.
Log onto your account
Go to Account details and see what plan you are on - You need to be on a broadband tariff.
You need to convert your top up voucher to a broadband add on.
Go to my account and then buy add on for broadband.
then check balance and spend in my account. It can sometimes take a few minutes to activate. Do not surf the net until you have this.

Turn off Windows Update while you're on a dongle. This will eat it at a great rate otherwise....Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Something still not right.
You dongle/account is not using your broadband add on.
What I *think* just happened is:
When you topped up you got 150mb data.
Your surfing used this up first but then instead of the data going to yout 1GB allowance, it stared eating your credit at £2 a Meg or whatever ripp off rate it is.
Log back onto three.co.uk (this is free)
And look at your data usage - See if you have used your 1GB (unlikely).
Did you computer download windows updates and/or antivirus updates in the background and eat up all your credit? Unlikely as even a big update would only be 100Meg.
I'd telephone three - even on their expensive number its still cheaper thanwhat it is costing you to check your emails and this forum.
Good luck.0 -
THank you for your help, went to the shop to sort out they were not very good to be honest but gave m e a direct phone number to talk to some one they have sorted my account out and credited it with 3072mb to use so hopefully that will get me through.
thank you again really appreciate it.0 -
Good result in the end then.
Did they say what the problem was?0 -
Good advice from Leesoutheast to turn of windows update (and any antivirus database updates etc and make sure BBC iplayer is not running in background) they will eat up loads of bandwidth.
I use my three S2 mobile phone tethered to my netbook via usb and on payg but only spend pennies on doing email as long as nothing is running in the background.0
