Morning all, I sold another item overnight on eBay which now takes my running total into the black for the first time!!!! Only by 49p though :rotfl:
I have beenreinvesting every penny that I've made so far by buying more stock so my spreadsheet has always shown a deficit - until now :j
Have to sit on my hands for a bit now though as my money's in transit'. Transfered a chunk from Paypal which takes a few days to hit my account so no more buying til I get it.0 -
Thanks for the book links, however neither of them were the music magpie esque site for books suggested a few days ago as one is American and the other doesn't seem to buy books. Anymore ideas anyone?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Hi, what would you usually change at car boot for baby/children clothes??
I have invested in some clear polythene bags to present to clothes in. Depends on make but as an example 5 M&S bodysuits £1.50, Next Top £1.00, Mothercare Coat £2.50. Everything is labelled. I am open to haggling and will have a sign to say so.
I am boxing them according to age so people can look through easily.
I'm trying to make it look professional, appealing, clean and ironed! So many people just tip a pile on the floor.:j July '08 wins: £20 Foster Grant sunglasses...Lazy Town DVD...NScessity ActivSkins Kids Sun/swim set...Paddington Bear DVD

Hi all,
Doing well i see
Managed to buy a few items yesterday while out and about, got some strange looks from the casher buying 10 identical items though :rotfl:
Just working on my sales pitch for ebay now...words make all the difference on there!
Free listings on sunday i see, i usually try and avoid listing on these special days, good to save money but everyone is listing every bit of junk they have so your items can get lost among it all, its good for picking up bargains though i suppose!Did you know that 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not happy?!0 -
I've got 2 quiksilver padded snowboarding jackets one 13-14 yrs girls and one 16yrs boys, am going to list on Ebay today but not sure to put on as auction or buy it now and what to charge? I bought them cheap but obviously want to make some money! need to start selling stuff instead of buying it! what would you do? I usually just put everything on buy it now coz never sure whther to do a low starting price and put a reserve on or do a higher starting price....brain hurts ;-/0

how much did you pay for them ? half that price and start the auction with that as your start price - then add that half price to the price you paid (or even double the price you paid) and have that as the buy it now price
jacket cost £10 - auction would be £5 start with buy it now of £15 (or £20) ..<shrugs> would that work or sound about right ?0 -

I would find out the RRP, start the auction at say £5 and set a buy it now for a few quid under the RRP and state in the auction the RRP. All depends on how much they are originally worth on the start price though, £5 was just a exampleDid you know that 6 out of 7 dwarfs are not happy?!0
