  • Are there any websites which are like music magpie but for books? I have loads but I can't shift them on amazon or ebay so they are making dust rather than money at the mo!

    Hi bing0

I'm preparing for a car boot! I have lots of baby stuff and our local one is flooded so I am going to try a fairly new one in the next town which opens in Feb. I'd like to be the regular 'baby stuff lady' so I'll build up to buying to sell. At the mo it is my stuff and a couple of other people's on a 50/50 basis.

Thank you so much for this 10k/2010 thread it has really spurred me on to stop procrastinating and do something. I need to calm down and do one thing at a time though. Have been looking at jewellery making supplies and need to stop it. First I must declutter, sell and MAKE money before I start spending on supplies for another 'great idea at the time'!

My ebaying is doing ok and have just put 7 items on Amazon for the 1st time! yay me!

If I could make 10k a year selling bits, car booting, selling jewellery, books, perhaps rejoin Avon, I'd be sorted!

I took up the list 5 things for 5 days yesterday and today set myself the Amazon challenge. I need to think how I can make money tomorrow...

Hi, what would you usually change at car boot for baby/children clothes??

My OH is finally getting it! He has given me loads of his stuff to sell on ebay so have been very busy tonight! He has given me a box of Vectra bits from when he dismantled an old car so I need to sort through it all. He gave me one of his xbox controllers so i thought I would put it on BIN for £15 and it sold an hour later! lol he only bought it for £10 off a mate last year!

I'm also now in profit which I have updated on my signature, that is taking into account the £45 I have spent on resell items! I'm so pleased the way things are going, except for the weather making it difficult to get to the post office!

  • Well, I got it for £6.50 in the end so still pleased with that, a good make BMX bike, from a posh area. There was a bidding war, right at the end, but fortunately they were all tight too.

Good effort ... glad the poaching paid off ;). Now you can gloat a little to the OH :D.
