not saying you should, that is your call, after a £2 refund though that hasn't really left much, as said before, it covers packaging as well as getting it posted, for some people they may have to drive a few miles to get there, so they would cover this. it may on this occasion be worth refunding if you don't have much feedback or are at 100% and don't want a negative one, however, if she did leave negative feedback should you decide not to refund, i think with the mail she sent you, and the postage clearly stated on your listing, you would probably have a good case for ebay to remove the negative comment.

i personally would not want negative comments on mine about high postage costs, may put other buyers off in the future.

Half a month in so to speak, and I've yet to make inroads in this challenge :rolleyes:

However, I have been a good student , and taken detailed notes of suggestions & advice people have given and I am in the process of brewing up a plan :rotfl: I am also being realistic in what I'm personally going to be including / omitting as "challenge income", probably a little more conservative than some as I am currently S/Employed and things are a little slow just now.

Anyways ... back to the cauldron ....

I am looking at three lots of books ending in my area shortly, again with no watchers or bids. They are by the same seller and collectively add up to 70 books for £8.00. Two lots are listed at £2.50 and one at £3.00.

I would pay a maximum of £4.00 for the whole lot, no more though. I am not sure of the best way of going about this, or what is permissible on ebay. Can I make an offer?

I wouldn't be happy with the email but I'd refund graciously and probably block the buyer. I recently miscalculated postage on 2 items, wonky eyes rather than wonky scales. I refunded the overcharge to both buyers before they received the items and emailed to let them know. They left glowing feedback and 5* DSR's, I wasn't out of pocket, I don't count fees in the P/P so all parties happy. The trouble is now with the DSR's if you fall below a certain percentage you can have problems selling:eek:

funnily enuf I sold a load of old tat yesterday... odd earrings, broken bracelet, 80's hoops, stuff I hadn't worn for ages, I think it weighed about 45g (might be wrong there)..got £300 for it! Made up with that as had just been sat in my bedside drawer for years!

Do be careful where you do sell tho...I went to a local working jeweller...I don't think I'd trust those places advertising all over the place at the mo...
