Not helpful but... where on earth did you get a coat for a fiver?
I'd take the price off if it would still be with tags otherwise it would be a tough call.0 -
First income for me.
Sold a book privately for £12 + p&p, so I'm off the mark.

aww...I'm in a bit of a dilemma...I bought a bag I have loved for ages in the sale today, £50 down to £12.50 and just went onto eBay and its selling for around £40, now I don't know if I should keep it or sell it. I wish there was 2 in the store, then I wouldn't have had this problem. Maybe I should keep it and sell another one of my bags?0

i've been asking myself lately 'do i NEED it' if no then sell it, think of the profit margin!
reminds me to sell a bag that i bought a long time ago that i knew i wouldn't use should have saved the money.0 -
Hi all,
Thank you for letting me join, I have made my first sale, £70 on a item that was someone elses and agreed to split with me 50/50 ........ I took note of the make money out of other people's laziness ....... so after costs from ebay, postage and their 50% split I reckon £70 aint half bad and still not spent any of my £100.00 yet. Will be tapping them up for more designer gear to sell in the future.
This thread has also inspired me to look at local area pick ups and currently bidding on a few items to resell, so £70/£10,000 away we go.:DKez12 intends to have a frugal 2012 and bust that debt:j there's certainly plenty of it!0 -
A part of me wishes I made it a higher price - but then my sensible head says the reason it sold was someone saw it was a Bargain and grabbed it!
I think like this sometimes! But in a way faster turn over is better since I don't have a lot of space anyway.
My two cents for today hehe:
1) If you are selling clothes that look a bit blah but have no marks/ holes etc then read the care instructions and give them a good soak. Had a load come out lovely today and now can confidently list as good condition. Worth it especially for the things likely to bring in more money.
2) Often charity shops have a mend section for good quality items, so if you can mend you can snap up these for cheap add a button and sell on. I do this often. Actually if it is just a bit of a hem or something you can use a hot glue gun or fabric glue on your own clothes even. Long lasting, works fine.
3) Not sure when or if you have "ball/ school formal season" in the UK? But its one of my plans to stock up during the year on things that I can sell when it rolls around here.
Anyway good luck all!)

spent ages tonight argueing with BT, they are charging cancellation fee for me leaving when i never knew i was in a contract, my previous one ended, they say they would have sent letter, but they currently can;t send me a copy as they can;t find it
, if they find it and send me a copy i have been told they will waiver fee if i return, nuisance really, however, if they cannot provide any terms and conditions i will take it further. so been busy doing that i am afraid
no sales on ebay to reportbut have been negotiating me selling items on my friends behalf as she is too lazy too, need to sort out commission part though. mother has a few items, so need to collect them, good tip about mending clothes from charity shop, as the friend i am selling for is a seamstress, may be able to strike up a 2 way commission thing, she fixes my clothes for commission? and i sell them on? worth looking into
have made 1st 500 dooyoo miles for a review, have 3 people in my circle of friends as well, actually done 2 reviews but 1st was express so my understanding is even if read and rated i do not earn from it. they are my first 2 reviews so hope people are kind to me, think i need to read up on more, give me a better idea what is considered a good review.
keep up the good work everybody, may we all be hit with bright ideas (and just hoping they are soft toys or something or they may hurt)
Thanks to all who post comps :T0
