Asda Cancelled Order Twice - Was told Guaranteed Delivery

Yet again Asda have cancelled my order due to snow...I can appreciate that the weather conditions are bad...but their Customer Services are just telling plain and simple porkies.
My first Delivery was due Friday - I only found out it was cancelled when I went in to amend the order at 9pm on Thurs - no one had called or emailed me to tell me my order was not coming.
I rang the overseas Customer Service 'english as she is spoke' Centre. "So sorry Ma'am, I will arrange redelivery for you tomorrow Sunday." Can you GUARANTEE it will come I ask? "Oh yes Ma'am, you will definately get your order on Sunday".
I then receive an email at 9am Saturday - your Order has been cancelled. Rings up overseas Call Centre "Sorry Ma'am that email was for the FIRST cancelled order (our Server is slow!) and your order will definately be coming to you tomorrow" Oh well...panic over.
Adds items to order at 4pm - still showing as going to be delivered. At 7.30pm, store rings to cancel order.:mad:
"We haven't been delivering all week" says Store bloke...really? Why did you accept TWO orders then? Why is your website continuing to do that and moreover why aren't you cancelling the orders straightaway to save us all the annoyance and heartache?
Told him about CS guaranteeing the delivery - "We're not delivering anywhere in your postcode area" - makes me sound like I live in the country instead instead of in a major Town. I ask about Compensation - "oh you'll get free delivery for next time" Yeah...problem with that matey is that that I'm ALREADY getting free delivery for spending over £50....:rotfl:
You'll have to ring CS then says Store bloke? What? And attempt to converse in a language which neither of us can understand? Don't think so...
£10 off Tesco I see for them cancelling your order? Think I'll shop with them then, have it cancelled and reap £10 - better than having my shopping NOT delivered by Asda and getting nowt...I'll have it NOT delivered by Tesco instead;)

I had my delivery cancelled twice this week by Tesco. To be fair, we live in a rural area and were cut off at the time the first delivery was scheduled, but all the roads have since been ploughed by farmers and we can get in and out no problem, and have had deliveries from the milkman and postman. But somehow Tesco can't get in - and didn't bother to tell us, either. They did give us a £25 voucher as a good will gesture when I telephoned.3-6 Month Emergency Fund #14: £9000 / £10,0000

Surely looking out of your window and looking at the weather forecast you should have realised that there was no way anyone could guarantee you a delivery. Who knows what the weather is going to be like in two or three days time. I'm not saying it was good service but in this weather I wouldn't be banking on any delivery times anyone gave me.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550

I am in Surrey near Guildford and I have has Asda cancel twice without telling me.
The first time was last thursday which was fair enough as the weather was bad and the roads were terrible but the next one to be cancelled was for yesterday which is odd because taxis, milkmen, couriers, neighbours are all out driving and the roads are now clear
I called Asda telling them this and was told that although I can go online and book another slot for early this week, they WILL NOT be delivering in my area until at least next weekend at the earliest.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.0 -
And you've moved it where?0

Oh finally tracked it down - wonder why the thread 'snow cancelled order' by another user not moved then? Seems this one has been tucked away nicely0
