Hi Rodney, but just one thing have you looked at all the posts? BT Sending my blood pressure High! :eek:0 -
UPDATE ....
15th Jan
Got an email from a BT company representative (Donna)
Kinda explained things and sort of blamed me for taking out BT Vision, which I'd had for 19 months, then explained my bill would be revised and I would be £7.61 in credit which will be refunded by cheque.. Done, sorted!
Got my revised bill today and well I am now in credit by £166.55 WOW which will be carried forward to my next bill!!!
NEWSFLASH I am NO LONGER a BT customer.
I guess I'll look forward to see the next bill just to see what it says!
Dear BT company representative are you based overseas? BT Sending my blood pressure High! :eek:0 -
Nothing would induce me to go back to BT. I left them a couple of years ago after losing my patience with their incompetent service and outright dishonesty. I'd even rather pay more than go back to them.0

Ive just left BT and gone to back to Sky, why?
BT offered Total Broadband which included
Home phone
Mobile phone
Broadband
Plus additionally BT Vision
Cool pay one company for everything, BUT
Toruble getting everything connected, Mobile phone service useless with only 50 mins talktime, Broadband slowest I've had in years, and as for BT Vision, good but nothing but old stuff.
Total cost £69.00 pm
So I then had to retain my Vodafone contract £50.00 pm
Reinstate Sky (so I could get some decent telly) £39.00 pm
Had Trouble leaving BT see 'Looking to switch to BT read this first' (sorry won't let me post a link) on this forum.
Now pay Sky £70.00 pm for HD TV, stable and fast broadband, home phone. Plus £45.00pm Vodafone contract.
Saving £43.00 pm.
Moral of the story if BT offers you a package that will save you money, DON'T BELIEVE IT! You'll end up with a service you'll regret, I did. BT Sending my blood pressure High! :eek:0 -
Sorry to hear about your tale of woe but their is no need to start more then one thread on same subject.
Easier to follow if you keep it together.;)

I don't think you can add a poll to a thread retrospectively.Sorry to hear about your tale of woe but their is no need to start more then one thread on same subject.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. What would be more helpful - rather than "is BT good or bad" - is to have two polls across all providers: one based on price, and the other based on customer service.0

I had BT phone and AOL broadband
I saw the BT broadband offer and thought i would change to get faster broadband and also the tele.
Everything was set up within 2 weeks, I dont have any problems with the broadband but it isnt particularly any faster. The tele is great because now i can pause and record stuff.
The problem i have is that:
They did not send contract details in the post
I cannot make head nor tail of the bills they send and so i cant see if they are charging what i thought they would.
When i phoned to query the bills it went to a foreign call centre to someone who kept calling me dear and 'dont worry about it'...very patronising
At the end she said she would give me the direct number for the BT vision so i could find out what i was getting billed for and she gave me the number to PONTYNS HOLIDAY PARK!!!!! LOL perhaps she could tell i was a little stressed!!!
Would i recommend BT to others?.......no not really But are others any better?“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -
Hi ANY CHANCE
I glad to see your 'service' is ok, as for customer service I think companies such as BT who contract it out overseas are asking for trouble. All this seems to do is cheese people off, unless its a simple problem. Your bill should be broken down and if not try viewing online but always download it as BT has a bit of a habit of deleting one and replacing it.
I've been with many ISP's over the years and I have to say that my best was with plusnet but they were a bit pricey. You only really get to know what they are like when you have a problem and unfortunatly I had many with BT!
We should start a campaign to bring all the call centre work gone overseas back, we would be better off in many ways, more jobs, more money in the economy and best of all someone to speak to who hasn't learnt English via Eastenders!
Good Luck anyone with BT, I hope your problem free. BT Sending my blood pressure High! :eek:0 -

Seems people aren't too keen on the jobs
There's no excuse for offshoring customer care really, but at least this appears to be a move in the right direction. 0
