Crib or moses basket?

I definitely advocate the carrycot attachment for prams.
No need to go spending more money on something else.
Just take the carrycot off the pram wheels and take it upstairs.
It is lovely and wide, so will last until you move baby into cot.
In terms of cot, if you have enough space in the baby's bedroom do get a cot bed, it will then last for a good 5 years or more and keeps baby in the cot for longer. You want to reduce a wandering toddler who no longer fits in a cot, but would if it was a cot bed!0 -
I have to agree With counting Pennys we had a carrycot with our pushchair and we used that until he was big enough for his cot. they are bigger than moses baskets so will last longer and are still transportable like a moses basket :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

I've got a carrycot actually designed for sleeping in and there is no way that would do him til 6 mths which is the recommended time for babies to share a room with parents.0 -
I wish I had got a crib for my little one but ooohed and aaaahed about it for so long and couldnt make my mind up so didnt get one in the end. She looked so tiny in her cot when she came home so she slept the wrong way round in it until her toes began to touch the side bars.
I had a carry cot attachment for my pram but it was a coffin shape and so I couldnt bring myself to use it. If it hadnt looked like that I would have used it in the sitting room all the time!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
They have to move out of a crib when they sit up, so no real advantage over a large moses basket (except to the person counting the money you pay them). TBH I had a crib for DS2 and I wouldn't bother getting another one, a moses basket or the carry cot from the pram are much more flexible.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

I had a crib in the bedroom when mine were tiny (its so well made its lasted us through 3 children and if we're lucky enough to be blessed with a 4th it will be used for that one too) and a cot bed (again used for all three with just a new matress each time)
But for downstairs i was spoilt as i have a gorgeous big old slivercross coach built pram that we used untill ours were around 12 months x
I was given a moses basket by a friend which was really nice of her but i got put in the attic and forgotten about.. really must get it down and check it over then whack it on freecycle xThere's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me.

We have a gliding crib for when this one is born.
My mum got it off ebay for me for £41.05 lol. It was a local collection listing. But i bought a new mattress for it.
We have a cotbed to move her into when she is 6months old0
