Freddie - did your phone have the £10 credit or had that stopped in your store?

    I've been Money Tipped!
2 1208s bought in same transaction - no leaflets in my store at all, so I had no clue about limits as all SELs said 1000 points.

Till receipt showed 2000 points added.

I can't stick to any T+Cs if none are on display or to be found in the mobile store, now can I?!

You have got out of the wrong side of bed!

Had you read my post correctly, you would realise that your little rant did not even relate to my post.

Hey ho, five phones ordered and three already sold on ebay! :p

DMG24 what ones are you ordering? I hadn't even thought of eBay - was going to get the cheapest and let hubby use the free airtime!
    Thanks!!!
  • I've saved 2 in my Online Basket, which clearly shows the following;
    • Tesco Mobile Nokia 1208 mobile phone Black includes £10 top-up
    • Free Delivery on mobile handsets
    • 1,000 Clubcard points on all Tesco Mobile PAYG Handsets
    • £17.97 each
    • Sub total of items: £35.94
    • Clubcard points earned 2070
Question is, what's the maximum you are allowed to buy?

Tesco have a 'Bulk Buy' policy which states...

    Bulk Purchase Policy
We operate a bulk purchase policy. In the wider interests of all our customers, purchases are restricted to a maximum of one mobile phone or two SIM cards per customer. If a customer orders more than five phones to the same address the order will not be fulfilled.

I've heard people say on other threads that when they try to order more than one at a time the transaction is cancelled. so it's probably best to do it in two separate transactions.
    Turn £100 into £10,000 in 2010 member # 247
    £5059.07/10,000 :j 31/12/10 = 50%
    Target for 2011, 100% of £11,000 :D
  • With regard to getting the phones unlocked you can find the info here: (scroll down to the bit about "Other Charges")

    http://www.tesco.com/mobilenetwork/content.aspx?page=36

Looks like the will give you a free code to unlock the phone 90 days after the phone has been active providing you have topped up £25 in that time. If you haven't topped up £25 in that time there is a charge.

    Hope this helps

Typical........ just bought one in Pompey (SELs but no leaflets) and for me.........no 1,000 points on the receipt :(
  • Just bought 2 x Nokia 1208 online at a unit price of £17.97.

Online Order Confirmation confirms total cost of £34.94 with 2070 clubcard points and free delivery on an item thats described as "Tesco Mobile Nokia 1208 mobile phone Black includes £10 top-up"

Can sell each at Fonebank for £5 therefore by my calculations (after using up the 'free' £20 credit of course) I'll be in theoretical profit of £57.86. Will however try to sell via ebay (with credit) for c£10 making theoretical profit of £67.86.....................................I think.

well i spoke to a kind fella on the phone first thing this morning he explained that if you order more than one phone a day the extras will be cancelled. its to do with people selling them abroad for some kind of scam. i didnt ask too much. but he said it will be fine if i order another tomorrow!
