EXPIRED: 1,000 Clubcard points (£40 deals) on *any* Tesco mobile

To confirm a Sale under false pretense is against the Sale of Goods Act.
I am not interested in the £10 credit in the slightest. I went into a store purchased an item on the strength of an instore advert that had no start date. The fact that promotional material was out for people to see indicates the promotion has started.
Times where this may be not so would be if a store was getting ready for a Sale and put out generic sale boards, however with no pricing or promo details ie they just say Sale. The Sale promotion would begin on the day the Sale prices were revealed.
A promotional event is the same as mis-pricing a product as it is part of what you purchase. In this instance the 1000 clubcard points deal was live online for phones over £40 so it leads to indicate that the instore deal was live too.
I do expect to have to chase Tesco regarding this but I know I am in the right, otherwise MT T. will have to provide a refund or compensation of my purchase to balance out any misleading messages that lead to a sale.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Are these locked to tescos as service provider ?
Can you use a vodafone sim ?
Thank you"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -
Erm yes, if they are advertising that I will get 1000 points with any phone even if it comes with £10 credit. I picked a leaflet up instore which just had a finish date, there was no to and from date. If Tesco did not want to combine this offer then they should not put leaflets out until the offer actually starts and if they do put leaflets out and not honour the offer thn surely thats false advertising

Was I referring to you? :rolleyes:Gone ... or have I?0 -

Thank you
Some of the phones can be unlocked with a code, some with a special lead and computer software (you can usually get this done at a shop for less than £10). If you have a look on the Mobiles board there are threads indicating which phones can be unlocked easily.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Just got two 1208s which got me 2000 extra points. only now realised it was one per transaction but maybe the counter guy didnt know him self?0

That is not true. For anything purchased instore the points should show on the receipt. If they don't, you wont get them.
That is not always the case and it won't be on this. The recent Champagne deals were not credited in the store and were added later on the next statement so this will be the same.0 -
