i managed to get one of these offers for prestatyn 10th july x 4nts, but looks like i might not be able to go. Do you think if I rang them up in a cpl days I might be able to change the date to, say, october. I saw somewhere in an earlier post that i may be able to change the date but i'd have to pay half-price for that hol. Does anyone know? If they cant change it I'll give it to someone, just seems a shame coz we could do with a hol (never had enough £ to take kids away)and october would mean we'd have some savings...0

As soon as I know I'll let you know.0 -
To mummyyummy-
I doubt it, sadly
I assume this is just an offer to get people in unfilled bokings, so therefore they won't let you book for free for a date so much later
maybe offer to someone and ask if they will give you a bit in return for your hols?Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
Thank you to the OP. Managed to book Camber Sands. My little boy will be delighted!
Has anyone been there before?0 -
Zziggi wrote:there doesn't appear so but..... i guess until someone has been and reports back then you won't know. I'm taking the view that I paid nothing for the holiday so I only have my petrol and time to lose. If it's absolutely terrible then it'll be a very short break. For a free holiday my standards can drop a fair bit
I'm going 3rd july (next monday!!)
As I was told (others appear to have had it explained slightly differently):
Basic holiday (nothing extra paid) = one bedroom (for 4 people), no bed linen, no microwave, pay for own electricity, basic kitchen facilities e.g. kettle, toaster, grill, oven, fridge, freezer, no towels, no complimentary tea/coffee.
£30 upgrade = 2 bedrooms (for 4 people), bed linen,no microwave, pay for own electricity, basic kitchen facilities e.g. kettle, toaster, grill, oven, fridge, freezer, no towels, no complimentary tea/coffee.
Anyone been to prestatyn before? Can anyone give local info/advice/words of warning?

I cant take part in this brilliant offer but i gave the details to my friend and she phoned up. she is going to prestatyn on the 7th july and we only live in Rhyl! another friend phoned up straight after and the freebies had gone!0

There isn't really much in Prestatyn as far as shops go, but opposite pontins is the beach and the Nova centre which is a small swimming pool with water slides etc. There is also crazy golf, amusement arcades and visitor centre by the Nova centre. Pontins is about a 10 min walk from train station and town centre. The nearest big town is Rhyl (where I live!) which is one train stop away and I'm sure there is a bus that goes from Pontins the Rhyl a few times a day (I think its orange!) in Rhyl there is the Suncentre (which is great but a bit pricey) the Skytower which is a big pole thing that you can go up and see the whole of the coast as far as Blackpool sometimes! There is a fair in Rhyl but it isn't up to much at the moment coz apparently Asda have bought the land there so think it will be closing soon. And at the moment in Rhyl they are doing ythe prom up so there isn't much to see. There is also a Seaquarium in Rhyl by the childrens village (where there is also a little fair for the young uns')If the weather is nice and you want to get out and about you will have a great time! There is the Welsh Mountain Zoo which is worth a trip in Colwyn Bay (if you get the train get off at Colwyn Bay and a zebra print mini bus will take you there for free!) and there is also Llandudno which is a lovely Victorian town with a long pier but everything is outside so not really worth it if the weather is bad!
Also when my friend booked she asked about electricity and entertainment passes and they said it was all included! Bargain!
So there you go. If anyone wants to ask anything more about Prestatyn pls feel free.0 -
Hi
Also missed the offer but I hope all those who managed to get it have a fab time. Any children will really enjoy themselves.
Was offered £115.00 for one adult and one child (as I am a single parent) for Southport for weekend but too expensive for me at the moment.
If anyone can't make use of there holiday in Southport/Wales I would be happy to buy it off you if you would be good enough to keep me in mind?
Hope weather is good for everyone!!!! Enjoy.0
