Do you have two mobile contracts?

I have 2 contracts with O2, both from Dialaphone. Both are on the O2 200 tariff for £30 a month but both come with cashback.
Contract 1 was for a Samsung E720 (average line rental £8 after cashbacks)
Contract 2 was for a Samsung D600 (average line rental £12 after cashbacks).
The main reason for me taking out contact 2 was because the E720 was a dreadful phone - no one could hear me properly when I rang them which defeats the whole object of having a nice phone.
Contract 1 is due for renewal next week so I will be trying my hand at negotiating with O2 for a Sony K800i at hopefully £15 - £20 a month.0 -
with someone like o2, how do you go about taking out another contract ? and do they both have to be paid out the same bank account or can they be paid out of 2 different one's ?
reason i ask if they're doing great tarriffs atm and my gf has a contract with them but i'm bankrupt so don't stand a chance. if she can take out another but get the money taken out of my account, i' think its all good..
let me know please ppl..0 -
The bottom line is either they don't care or they don't check. I have two phones one with Virgin and one with O2. I use one and Mrs Normski uses one. It was too much hassle having one in Mrs Normski's name because she leaves tarrifs, networks, upgrades etc. to me and they would never talk to me as I wasn't the account holder.
When I buy Mrs Normski's new phones I give them my details and her bank account details (account in her sole name). Never had a problem setting it up at all.0 -

but thats the problem i have as i can't give my details as they would never accept, but if gf took out contract, could i then change the dd over to my account ? or would this trigger something with the company ?0 -
We've always have 2 contracts at the same time. This year is my turn to get for the 2 of us. Last year it was her turn. We always take advantage of the lastest offers out there.
It's usually the same network and the same tariff for the 2 of us. This year the direct debit is taken from my account. Next year it will be hers. You may have the same surname but once the account is different, the credit search is different.:jDON'T STEAL!!! Government HATES competition!:D Pay your tax and make voluntary contributions to the government! :A:T0 -
nobdoy has actually said thou.. can someone with a contract with o2 take out another one in their name but then change the direct debit details into someone else.. so one bill goes out one account and then other from another.. if you get what i mean ?0

I think so. My mate recently got divorced and had to change a direct debit with O2 as a result. Address too.0

Hello. I have two contracts:
1. 3 - Talk and Text 600 - £30 per months on a cashback offer, which will cost me £90 in total for the year, expiring on 15 August 2006. Nokia 6630. It's my main number. Previously I was on Tesco PAYG and had the number ported over, it's a really nice number if I say so myself.
2. Orange - Orange 200 - £35 per month on a full cashback offer from CoolNewMobiles. Haven't had the required 45h bill yet so I can get my first cashback cheque, and I've heard that some people have had problems with CoolNewMobiles. Will have to wait till August to see what happens. The only advice I can say when going with them is to READ the T&C's, READ THEM AGAIN, and then PRINT them and keep them NEXT to your computer. Also use the calendar and reminder functions on your phone to note down when your bills need to be sent in for the cashback. Sony Ericsson K750i - Sold the phone on eBay the day I got it for £120 profit, and am was using a spare Nokia 6610i I had lying around. Had to sell that for the cash, so for now that contract is null and void. Have not really use it at all, but it's a second contract that I'm paying for .
I use the cashback from my 3 contract to help pay that off, and will do the same for the Orange one when they start coming in. Might transfer the direct debits to a new accounts and leave just the amount of money needed for those contracts in it to make that easier, would take a load off mymind putting that money aside.
So that's £65 every month in mobile rental, plus any additional charges for competition texts, etc, and an additional £24 for my own phone line and broadband. Plus the £70 I'm paying off for the line setup. Great situation to be in, but I wouldn't give up my mobile for the world.
Cheers and take care.
