my sister has a phone provided by her employer .(orange network )It has two phone numbers on it .one for work ,one for personal use . The only downside is she can only send text messages from one number .As its a work phone she only pays for her personal calls .

i've only got one, but alot of people i know get 2 contracts because they have one for texting people and one for phoning people... dont understand why they cant just buy a text bulk... i guess the texting contract's usualy the O2 payg sim where you get 300 texts for £30pm (http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/o2uk/jsp/tariffs/selectSimOnlyTariff.do?tariffPageView=SIMO&pageTab=SIMOPayAndGo)

I have 2 contracts with O2, my daughter uses one of them. Works out a lot cheaper for me than when she used pay & go.

A friend of mine used to run loads consecutively - he would get the ones that were free for the entire term (via cashback) and sell the phones that he got free to make a profit. You would have to be very organised though to remember to claim the right cashback at the right time.

I have five contracts at the moment with three networks.
My o2 - 200 is for use during the day, and my Orange 1000 xnet offpeak mins for eve's and w'end use.
The others are used by other members of the family.

Three of these are 12 month free contracts
The average monthly cost for all five after cashback is £15pm
    Nearly debt free

always had two - one for daytime calls ad generally anytime/net calls and one for off peak calls to ring my bloke and good mates and have a good ol chat

but since ive worked for orange they gave me a free phone with free calls so only have 1 for any time any net calls plus means i can leave that in my bag at work and not have weird people ringing me
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • I have two but only because they are both on 12 month free cashback deals. Both are Orange £30/month 200 mins etc each. The only reason I got the second one was sibling rivalry! After I got my SE W550i walkman phone my sister got a SE K750i which had a better camera. So I took out another contract on a 12 mth free deal and got one too just to use as a camera but eventually gave the sim card to my Mum to use instead of her PAYG. She's just starting to remember to use it instead of the landline to make use of all her free calls.

I normally have 2 contracts, this year i have my main number 200 mins 500 texts and then wanted the 6111 in pink and hubby wanted to buy for my birthday but on minimum contract it worked out cheaper than payg hence 2 contracts and i use the mins up first on the small contract £16 so monthly im paying £46. Having 2 allows me to have a new phone every 6 months;)
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
