I am sure I saw them in poundstretchers before Christmas for £10 each, I think I will get a couple then the boys can have one each for their bedrooms. Thanks Sammy:A

The one I have is very safe too...it has an automatic switch off if something goes to near it or it falls over...:T

    Morning all

Bit more snow overnight here....filled in the gaps and made it look all pretty again, sky looks really full and is all dark and brooding. Both DD's schools are closed so we don't need to venture anywhere today.

Lou - Hope you can get some heaters sorted....I can't believe they didn't lag the outside pipes

Morning all - brrr! Had a little bit more snow here overnight but not enough to keep us at home, sadly. Hoping today goes quickly, yesterday was not fun at work at all - all sorts of nonsense going on.

Take care if you're heading out there today and keep warm.

Morning all, if Elvis was alive today he would have been dead for 32 years.

Another day stuck indoors, may try to decamp downstairs for a change of scenery. The forecast doesnt look good for you Lou. xx

Our local Council ( Cherwell) appear to be doing absolutely nothing at all about the roads around here. We have been saying for years that they allocate all the CTax to Banbury and we in Bicester, (I'm about 3 miles outside Bicester) only get money spent when they've run out of stupid projects in Banbury to waste money on! Sorry, ranting, but !!!!!!!

  • Freezing but sunny here. Nothing been done to roads so nasty.
8 month pregnant daughter got stuck at the end of her drive this morning - ice brought her very close to a tree but all is well now.

Friend and I are going to go to Morrisons to stock us and the old folk up with essentials in a minute and she is treating me to a breakfast. :D

Wish we had a load of snow so that I didn't feel such a whimp for staying put. Need to go to a meeting in Leicester tomorrow but not overjoyed!

Got my sympathy Rictus...........takes me back to my days with an ancient transit van, up to my knees in snow trying to change the distributor!,,,,and pulling over into 6" of slush so that the Bizzys couldn't check my tyres!

Dont be tempted by Halfords, battery are half the price from a Motor Factor.
