How Cold???

More snow for us last night in the North East and I am currently watching a completely insane person swim in Hyde Park pool on GMTV.

Take care if you are travelling today.....

Grrrrrr...thought I might try and venture out...and the bloomin car won't start..

Its not the battery as it turns over to a point and then just cuts out - almost like the petrol is frozen and the engine isn't catching. So no nursery for Chloe ( but she is at DD1's). I am in breakdown but there is not point calling them out as I don't 'have' to go anywhere. Its still treacherous here......

Hopefully OH will get home from Henley today and take me shopping..I might sledge to the shop again later today.

    Good morning everyone!

    Today I have two goals:

    1) Not to freeze to death.
    2) PHONE THE CAT SHELTER!

Now I best do some work! Cheerio!

We have no central heating again:rolleyes:

We have a gas fire in the lounge and a delongi oil filled heater so we are going to have to restrict ourselves to the warm rooms:o

I am also worried about running out of gas as the delivery lorry will not come down our lane in bad snow so I think that when OH gets in from work we will pop out and get a couple of fan heaters (I know they eat the leccy but needs must)

I must get on with planning for next week as I didnt get much done yesterday at all (OK I did nowt yesterday if I am being truthful).

Lou I have a halogen heater that I bought recently...it is fantastic -much better than the fan heaters and use much less electricity......

I am sure I saw them in poundstretchers before Christmas for £10 each, I think I will get a couple then the boys can have one each for their bedrooms. Thanks Sammy:A
