I can't imagine WHAT you'll do with that other than make HUGE amounts of chutney?

Vaya Con Dios is obscure - but at least it's english-language, some of my stuff isn't. As for Icehouse - I was around when they came out originally, simple as that. Also remember stuff like Climie Fisher...

Rover are bust. By the time you do feel old enough, they will have joined the legions of MK1 Escorts and 1984 Porsche 911s.oakdale_minx wrote:Anyone want to offer any explanation why I felt the need to buy a huge catering size tin of mango puree from the supermarket??

My Dad is Canadian!
Oh dear.........I have found the car I want.........it is lots of pennies.......
1999 Honda Civic Coupe...I like coupe's......oooh, I knew when I found the one I fell in love with it would be a lot of money!!! It is £2,695  !!!! If I bought it, and could get it for , say, £2,200, and pay off all the unsecured debts, and up my loan to take it to down to 3 years, I would have about £2,300 in the bank as long as my bank charges all come to me as planned before the hearing in 18 days!!!!
Oh dear......part of me feels I'm being MSE/DFW by paying it all off and upping the secured loan AND still having money in the bank if I buy the Honda. The other part of me feels over £2,000 is a HELL of a lot to pay for a car when I could get a P reg. Escort for half the price and have an extra 1,000 in the bank, which oculd be seen as a more MSE/DFW thing to do!0 -
whoops, double post hiccup0

Sometimes a bit more money spent up front can reduce the whole life cost. If you end up with a more reliable car, lower mileage, lower bills it can make more sense. Honda are very reliable and retain their value. The extra money may not be as daft as it sounds.

Because it's practical to have on hand in case someone breaks in and you want something to throw at them?

I am not an expert on cars but it makes sense to pay a bit more and get a better car that will last longer. You need something reliable, and you deserve to have a treat after your success with the back pay, and all the hard work recently. Snap it up !(I like coupes too!)
