I'm not impressed as they could offer to transfer the balanced owed over to valued opinions one of there other panels and suggest people sign up for that panel if they aren't already so all would not be lost.

I hope they donate the money to charity rather than pocketing themselves.

They really aren't doing their reputation much good.

:mad:Absolutely disgusting - the company behind it, Research Now, should be made accountable for this. Hopefully their name will be made mud if they don't sort it out.

Everyone please read the T&Cs, because the clause 4 they refer to doesn't mention Mum's Opinions, but rather Valued Opinions. I've therefore sent them the following (deliberately vague) reply... perhaps a mass response of the same would get a bit more action...

    Hi again,

Unfortunately your T&Cs do not apply, as it refers to the Valued Opinions panel. It specifically says that you can close my account and not pay me my money if it is done in accordance with Clause 4, however Clause 4 relates to a different account which is not being closed. Therefore I am fully entitled to receive the monies oweing to me.

Please can you transfer the balance to my Valued Opinions panel instead?

    Thank you.

  • Oh no, I've got £7 in there but that's taken me years, lol! I'd rather it went to charity, I get the feeling they'll tell us that's where it's going and then pocket it. I'd want to see some sort of proof if they say they're going to donate it.

not wishing to be insinuate that the charity doesn't deserve the money, but if they can donate money to charity, it would only take the same amount of time to arrange an evoucher to the person who earned it.

Unless they are prepared to provide proof that the money has gone to charity, I wouldn't believe a world of it. Plus giving the money to charity would cost them more, as they have to give real money, as oppose to giving us gift vouchers which they can normally get at a discount for bulk purchases. So why would they do this?
