Avoid Bathstore like the plague!
The price may tempt you in, but their customer service is non-existant.
We had a basin delivered from Bathstore a month ago, which we checked visually shortly after it was delivered and did not notice an issue. When our plumber has come to install it - they advise you not to book a plumber until after the item has been received and we all know how quickly plumbers are available - there is a problem. The item is broken, but it would not have been possible to see this at the time of delivery.
Bathstore are refusing to repair or replace, citing that the fault was not reported with 14-days as stipulated in their Ts & Cs. Although the Ts & Cs do ask for issues to be reported with 14 days of delivery, nothing in them states that they will not accept liability after this date.
After I pointed out their responisbilities under the Sales of Goods Act 1979, they still refused to do anything - and was basically told "tough" by my local store manager.
i am now raising the issue with my credit card company - but my advice is AVOID.0 -
Sorry, don't know if it's MSE etiquette to pick up an old thread but was just wondering if anyone else has any more views on this. Looking at some of the review sites the feedback seems a bit mixed.
Trouble is, I'm finding it difficult to find a similar item elsewhere. I want to buy the integrated sink and worktop, basically it's an all in one moulded piece and then I was going to get the furniture 'wenge'.
Great to hear your views on Bathstore.0 -
We had read some of the online reviews & were slightly apprehensive, but went ahead with our order.
On delivery, the van driver caught the box on something in his van, ripping the cardboard box & scratching one of the doors.
He was very helpful, gave us a CS phone number to ring, & signed the delivery note as "damaged in transit". We were now reaaly apprehensive, but CS was excellent. On calling they very quickly sent out a replacement with no fuss or bother.
Would definitely use again, as the units were good quality & a great price.0 -

Do try and wait for their sale as prices do gets slashed. Our corner sink and curved unit still looks like new a couple of years down the line and I am impressed with quality although would have baulked at the full RRP0 -
You used to be able to buy Bathstore products from Plumbcentre for considerably less £££. Dont know if its something they can still do or whether there now keep both companies seperate. Products are generally pretty good, taps and showers are all rebranded crosswaterHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0

I used Bathstore and recommend. Was good service, delivery and customer service when a part was missing. I also haggled off the 'sale prices'.0

I have recently installed myroom units into my bathroom. after about 6 weeks the doors started cracking. They replaced them but these too have started cracking. They have said that they will replace them again but problem will occur again because of lack of ventillation. They won't pay towards reinstallation of panels now, when previously they said they would. Has anyone else had this problem? How do you cure a ventillation problem when you have 2 windows and an extractor fan!
Any comments appreciated0 -

That's interesting. I am having a similar problem with them, although they are saying to me that damage must be reported within seven days. Perhaps it was the same store manager - I ordered online but I had to report the problem to the local store. He just didn't want to know.
If I had read all the reports here about bad service from Bathstore I would not have gone anywhere near them. Wonderful thing, hindsight.
What happened? Did your credit card company help?0 -

That's what our plumber told us. He offered to get similar stuff for us from Plumbcentre, but we liked the look of a particular cabinet. He said that as Bathstore didn't do trade accounts (and that should have been a red flag) we would have to order the stuff online ourselves.
With the problems we are having, I so wish we had just gone with our plumber. It would have been a lot cheaper, too. Or anywhere but Bathstore.0
