This is not a debate about the intricasies of teaching- just that teachers should not be paid for taking days off and should make time up- my daughter has an a-level psychology exam on Wednesday- has she been affected? has she been studying all over christmas-?do teaching 'proffessionals' care?- to use the word lightly, liking even more time off does it help her situation- NO- she is committed! No sympoathy whatsoever

You continue to assume a snow day is a day 'off'.

BTW, why did your daughter spend so much time studying if they are easy and mean nothing?
  • Of course if your daughter had fallen and injured herself I'm sure you would be looking for blame and pursing the money!

No- I do not go for compensation- A levels and degrees are easy nowadays- period

Am doing maths again in 3 months to prove it

Are you wishing bad luck on my daughter (un) wiseman?

Nice teacher- we all want our kids in your nasty thinking class

Oh dear- do agree you have a lot of paperwork these days, and a lot of guidelines and a lot of inspections, guess it's not teachers to blame, just the system.

Good old fashioned free grammar school education taught me more than Latin.
Hee- so glad my kids are out of it- roll on the grandkids- never seen so much ineptitude in all my life- and these people have the future of the country in their hands!

Come back my old teachers- god bless

The pay for your children's/grandchildren's education if it so bad. If I felt that way I would work every hour God sent to make sure my children had the education they deserve. And this is coming from a person, who in another thread, has commented that she went to the good old free grammar schools but has ended up not doing anything with it.
  • How did you very difficult a level awards lead you to that conclusion.

my daughter spends time studying because she is suddenly doing well after years of bad teaching agt Carr hill high school in Kirkham lancashire- my son is a plumber despite this school also she has found her confidense. She is doing well in 4 a level subjucts despite very poor teaching at secondary school- do you need more?

I hope they taught her better spelling and grammar than you.

Prove what? That doing one a level when you have got nothing better to do is easy, well I'm sure we could all do that. Some of us have things to do, not wasting money, on a worthless bit of paper (according to your thoughts). Proves nothing, you have to much time on your hand. Get a prper job, where you dont have time to do such things.

But if they are so easy, why do youngsters need to work hard. Are they not a breeze?
