When I had 200 mins / 200 text I was charged £10 per month. (could use 4 of my 200 texts per MMS)

Upgraded today in high street o2 shop and believed I could use 4 text per MMS of my unlimited text (100 mins / u/l text £15) BUT been charged!!!!

Will have to cancel under the 14 day.

My average use is 42 mins / 60 texts / 6 mms SO maybe stick with ole Nokia 6300 and go to Asda p.a.y.g

    Did they say you could?

They say "Excludes MMS" on all free text allowances. Just buy an MMS bolt on..

He didn't say I couldn't or check with customer services.

I am annoyed because o2 are so vague. My £15 will end up more than my budget!!!

On contract phones I'd say its upto the user to find out charges, Its upto you to enquire, I'm sure the agent gave you a guide which had ALL the charges in?

I asked for a charges guide BUT he never gave it me!!
I said to him I am happy with 200 / 200 and can use 4 text per mms. I never expected to pay for Nokia Maps / GPS either. (no data charges were mentioned there!)

I was happy to pay £15 as was getting the N5800 phone (£5 x 24=£120)

Otherwise I might as well get a sim only or go to ASDA payg

Can you confirm which tariff you're on?

If you have an O2 bonus tariff there are no inclusive texts; what you have is 200 minutes and an unlimited text bolt-on. MMS are taken at the 4 SMS to 1 MMS rate only if you have inclusive texts on your plan otherwise you will pay around 24p per MMS.

As for cancelling, someone with better knowledge will need to confirm, but by upgrading instore you do not have a cooling off period, i.e. you do not have 14 days to cancel unless O2 offer that as their standard terms and conditions.

Indeed, you only get a cooling period if you order on line or over the phone. Unless O2 have a policy (which they don't have to) there no returns for anything bought in store.

It is free, GPS and Nokia maps are both fee. GPS is just a signal, and Nokia Maps is a free Nokia App. All you pay for is voice navigation which you do not have to have on, and the data for the maps. However if you preload the data from your PC first, then there is no data usage either :)

I am now on 100 mins and unlimited texts. £15

I was on 200 mins 200 text £10 and could get free MMS by using 4 of the FREE texts per MMS. (
have used this policy for years)

I understand I need to pay up to £1 a day or £7-50 bolt on for the net. My friend has sat nav free through the air and I expected (like a fool then!) the phone to be the same.

14 day period is via a store or phone BUT not through 3rd party.

I can buy a licence for extra map features which is fair enough too, I am not asking for everything for nowt!!
