I agree that personally speaking the £27 sounds reasonably good for what you get (baring in mind you're getting net as well) but a new phone would've been nice.
As for £19.58 - it would've been at 15% vat so would've gone up anyway
The £27 sounds as if they've added the £7.50 web'n'walk internet package on top of the initial agreement... could be wrong but if you have access to view your bill online you should be able to see what stuff they're including on your contract.
My husband has been having £2.99 (or something) added to his bill by Orange for not paying by direct debit - which he has been doing! so systems do go belly up in adding stuff they maybe shouldn't!
Good luck
thanks, i think its also that they are adding the internet and blackberry service bumping it up. however my previous contract was just under £50.00 but it was a cashback contract so once i'd been paid the cashback it was actually only £25.00 a month. I think for £27.00 even if i had to take a 18month contract out i could of got a half decent phone thrown in.
my problem with vodaphone is they are so cloak and dagger, they very rarely explain things properly and most of the customer service people i have spoke to just seem casual staff that end up spending ages reading notes on there system an still not having a clue.
edit.
not to ben the vodaphone rep, ou have contacted me and asked for my user name, ive replied but it was in my original message that i sent to you. Please note that i;m not getting messages telling me i'm in arrears!!Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

Thankyou Kirsty for sorting out the problem, its very much appreciated.
To update the thread Kirsty has resolved the issue for me. I would say to everyone else, try to keep the faith with them and please be paitient. I might have just been lucky, its good that vodaphone have people on forums to sort issues out, i dont know how i would have got on if it had continued the way it had.
thanks once again Kirsty.:money:Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
I should make a note to make a big fuss on here everytime I get a problem with them (regularly!)!
What I've just gone through with them has been the worst experience I've had with any company in my life! I'm probably just going to cut my losses and accept their "gesture of goodwill" before I move on somewhere else when the contract runs out.0 -

if its just a payg sim card you need, you can get some from here for free.

Hi fishcakes,
Stolt is correct, you can get your hands on free sims. The £20 charge that your son was told about will be the unlocking fee for the handset.
If you wish to use a different networks sim in the phone, you will need to get it unlocked first. However if you are using a Vodafone sim then you would not need to get the phone unlocked, you can just pop in a Vodafone sim and you're away!
I trust this has helped,
Thanks,

Or if you want it unlocked to join another network try the market boys who will do it for half that price. Or look at the unlocking sticky threads first.0 -

Hi fishcakes,
Sorry to hear your phone has been locked.
You will need to contact your own network provider who will then be able to provide you with a PUK code. If you are struggling to find your networks customer services number please let me know and I will look into it for you.
Thanks,
