Making an accusation such this is very serious for any establishment which prepares food.

Given that the OP has chosen to point the finger at probably the biggest national bakery type establishment in a public forum, I can only hope that he/she has plenty of savings.

I suspect that Greggs legal team might be somewhat better than the OP's. :rotfl:

I think you will find that the OP knows the ways of working in Greggs better than anyone else. I mean it does seem logical that they would have heated up 2 day old stuff doesn't it?

"Personally I feel that they had just reheated old stock that they hadnt sold earlier in the day (or from the day before)."

Lets get some common sense here OP,
You get sick, it doesnt necessarily mean it is food you ate. You can ingest bugs from a million and one places in the space of a day.
Say you go to the loo, go to wash your hands, put your germ ridden hand on the tap to turn it on (along with other users) washa hands, turn the tap off with your nice clean hands by touching the germ ridden tap again. Touch the door handle that other users, some who have not washed their hands, Then go and have a butty holding it with those germ ridden hands...........................

    See where I'm going..........

and we will never, ever return.

I'm surprised this forum is till up and running sometimes.

It won't be the OP who will be feeling the wrath of Gregg's Lawyers for the alleged food poisoning and potentially slanderous comments; it will be the site host for allowing people to come up with alleged complaints and looking to name and shame companies on the basis of "warning" others.

Seen many forums forced to close for such things as slander against companiues is left unchecked.

I trust the OP is feeling much better.

Back to the post though. Please expand on "ill"

Severe food poisoning will result in the body expelling the food - usually by vomiting. Not "poisoning" as such, just the body knowing the food is unfit/unsavory and literally irritates the stomach

If we are talking diarrhea and general feeling of unwell, it is unlikely to be the result of the purchase from the bakery.
  • i hope greggs sue you for this thread, you have no proof it was them that made you ill
