    "he owns his own house" no HB for this I'm afraid HB is for council/LA housing.
    LHA (local housing allowance) is renting in the private sector.
    SMI (support for mortgage interest) only available if unemployed.

    He could ring tax credits and ask them to do a claim on his estimated salary for this year and it would mean he would be entitled to WTC and CTC, but he should not underestimate otherwise he would get an overpayment. I can't think of anything else he would be entitled to.
    Speedy I would strongly do as always ^^^ suggest first before going down the signing on line if I'm honest.
