So your happy to lose £40 in FVF everytime a buyer refuses to give you cash! As that is what could happen Yes one Neg may not effect you but a couple of times with bad DSRs and your account wont be long around.
I always find it strange and a little pathetic that people moan about the rules a continue to use ebay even if it will end up costing them money then start throwing a Paddy when it doesn't go there way.
Yes you can demand whatever you like but any person with an ounce of common sense would realise if they are unwilling to follow the rules in a way that could cost them money that maybe they should look at another selling venue
Well, i'm approaching ten years on ebay as a seller and buyer, i currently work aswell but make enough to live on from ebay if i so wished so i think i understand ebay quite well.
I also don't moan about the rules and was not doing so in my previous post, look, if you want cash on collection it's your right to ask for it and with a little thought you can do it within ebay rules, basically the only reason most people choose cash on collection is because the item is large, heavy or both and therefore difficult and expensive to post.
So you want cash on collection? all you do is state cash on collection prefered, paypal accepted but if used item will have to be shipped and the shipping fees paid in order to comply with paypal postage requirements.
that doesn't break the rules but sets out clearly for those that need everything spelling out to them that if your going to collect you need to pay cash, so you don't have to accept paypal on collected items to stay within ebay rules you just need to offer an alternative postage option if they pay with paypal, usually the expensive postage on a large/heavy items will be enough to convince people to go for the cash on collection option, simple when you think about it.
the problem with this thread is there are too many rule book junkies posting in here and as i've said before sometimes you need to just put down the rule book and use some good old common sense.0
