I agree too. I started off leaving feedback as soon as payment arrived if by paypal or as soon as I posted if by cheque, but I got fed up with so many not leaving feedback for me. So now I only leave feedback after I have received feedback. I always send an email to say that the item is on the way & that if there is a problem to let me know b4 leaving neg feedback. So far I still have 100% +ve (except 1 neutral from someone who thought I was offering a complete set of mags - even tho it was clearly stated how many)
Love to save & love a bargain
  • I buy and sell on Ebay. It seems I must be the odd one out here as I think the seller should leave feedback as soon as they have received cleared funds from the buyer, after all the buyer has completed their part of the transaction by actually paying for the goods. It is then the responsibility of the buyer to leave feedback when he receives the item in satisfactory condition. It's unfortunate that some buyers choose to leave neg. f/b without contacting sellers first to resolve any problems but I just get so annoyed when I receive an email from the seller telling me that they will leave me feedback ( when I've paid for item immediately ) only when I leave them feedback.
    Onwards and Upwards ;)
  • This gets up my nose too, however, sometimes it has taken me a while to leave feedback, but i have never totally forgotten to at any time.

What I do is just keep an eye on the top of the feedback page and if i see someone had forgotten or is a little slow in doing so I just fire them off a quick email via ebay contact member

    feedback reminder for item 0000000

    this normally does the trick.
I think i have o nly had one problem that was never resolved and that an ebayer with a reasonable feedback score just couldn't get it right, everytime someone left them feedback they just did the respond thing. they had around 50 feedback and they had not left a single feedback for anyone. I sent off a nice email to try and correct them but never got a response and i imagine they are still doing the same.

nowt as queer as folk they say..

But if you leave the buyer feedback immediately they pay and then they decide to say there is a problem and charge back on paypal or whatever, theyve got your positive feedback and can say what they like on yours (good or bad)or even not bother.
