  • Morning all. Have to take mother in law to heathrow from luton, but making trip by rail and tube. Flight is scheduled to leave on time (!!!!) at 16.50 but leaving in 10 minutes just to leave adequate time to get there.
Am off work at the moment recovering from minor surgery and have another minor op tomorrow so no work worries for me, but I have every sympathy for those of you struggling in. As a rail transport worker, our boss seems to think that snow shouldn't effect us and we should get into work on time regardless!

Glad you're OK Pepe. Be a good boy and stay in and recover. No playing out !!!!

Ta Spud, was up your way on Sunday. I think that the Council had forgotten to grit the side roads as I came up off of the M60 and thought I was going to go straight through the lights on the snowy A62 and back on to the Mway! Not funny with 40 tonnes and definitely a brown-trouser moment!

not a flake here  It sounds like the end of the world though just 30 miles in any direction listening to the radio, the main A road to Portsmouth shut, the motorway near Southampton very bad and then to the north Sailsbury has it bad as well. Not even a frost on the car bizarrely, but hopefully it will mean my drive will start to defrost.

  • Get well soon Pepe.
Old lady across the road is clearing her drive. It's coming down as fast as she clears it. Why?

Sadie was loving the snow last night when it was up to her belly ( about 1 1/2inches!) and was whizzing around the garden scooping it up and barking at it.
Now its at shoulder height , and above, she has changed her mind cos it sticks to her fur in little balls! Rolo goes crazy in it, he boings along as if on springs.
